Nel 1910 il drammaturgo Paul Armstrong riadattò la storia in uno spettacolo teatrale di grande successo a Broadway, intitolato "Aliam Jimmy Valentine", successivamente trasformato in 3 diversi film nel 1915, 1920 e 1928.
