• Guilt, Shame, and Freedom: Healing Your Relationship With Your Past Self
    Feb 18 2026

How you relate to your past self determines how free you are today. Many women are living under guilt that quietly turned into shame, especially around roles that matter deeply like motherhood, marriage, caregiving, and calling. This episode names what’s really happening, exposes the lie of condemnation, and invites you into freedom that is already paid for.

In this episode, we continue the February Relationships Series by looking at one of the most overlooked relationships of all: your relationship with yourself across time. We unpack the difference between guilt and shame, how fear causes guilt to harden into shame, and why shame keeps you disconnected from God, yourself, and others. You’ll learn how hindsight plus fear fuels self condemnation, how Romans 8 reframes your story, and what it looks like to release shame and walk in redemption.

    • Guilt addresses behavior. Shame attacks identity.
    • Guilt can lead to conviction, repentance, and restoration. Shame leads to hiding and disconnection.
    • Fear is what turns guilt into shame by making mistakes feel permanent and personal.
    • You are not meant to judge your past self by information she did not have.
    • Shame keeps you focused on yourself instead of God and makes grace feel inaccessible.
    • Romans 8 declares no condemnation and ongoing redemption.
    • How you treat your past self directly impacts your present relationships.
    • Love dissolves shame. Fear fuels it.

You are not disqualified. Your story is not finished. God is still working, redeeming, and restoring what you have been condemning yourself for. Freedom is available when you release shame and trust what God has already promised.

If this episode stirred something tender or heavy, you do not have to work through it alone. Coaching can help you identify shame, release self punishment, and walk in freedom. Schedule a right fit call or continue listening as we practice renewing our minds together.

  • How Your Thoughts Shape Every Relationship
    Feb 11 2026

Your relationships are not shaped primarily by what other people do or say. They are shaped by what you believe, what you think, and how you interpret what happens. If you have ever felt disconnected, resentful, overly responsible, or emotionally exhausted in your relationships, this episode will help you see why and show you where your power actually is.

In this episode, we continue the February relationship series by shifting the focus from your relationship with yourself to your relationship with others. We explore how beliefs, expectations, people-pleasing, comparison, and identity shape the way you experience connection. You will learn how to reclaim emotional responsibility, stop outsourcing your feelings, and decide intentionally what kind of relationships you want with the people in your life including strained relationships and even relationships with people who are no longer here.

    • A relationship is the experience you have with someone, and that experience is created internally

    • You do not experience people as they are. You experience them through what you believe about them

    • Other people do not create your feelings. Your thoughts about them do

    • People-pleasing is an attempt to control how others feel and it prevents real connection

    • Unspoken expectations lead to disappointment and resentment

    • Boundaries are not about controlling others. They are about deciding how you will respond

    • Comparison never leads to connection. It leads to judgment or insecurity

    • Other people’s behavior is information, not a verdict about you

    • You get to decide the kind of relationship you want to have with each person in your life

    • Renewing your mind is how relationships begin to change

You are not powerless in your relationships. You are responsible for how you think, how you feel, and how you show up. When you take ownership of that, connection becomes clearer, cleaner, and more honest.

  • Your Relationship With Yourself Sets the Tone for Every Other Relationship
    Feb 4 2026

You are in a relationship you cannot escape. You wake up with her. You go to bed with her. You live inside her thoughts every single day. And the quality of that relationship quietly shapes how you relate to God, to others, and to yourself. If your inner relationship is harsh, critical, or distrustful, it will leak into every other relationship you have. This episode is about changing that from the inside out.

February is all about relationships, and we are starting at the foundation. In this episode, we talk about your relationship with yourself. Not self obsession. Stewardship. How your thoughts create your emotional climate. How identity drives behavior. And why you cannot shame yourself into becoming the woman God created you to be. You will learn how to recognize unhelpful self talk, how to filter your thoughts through truth and love, and how to intentionally decide the kind of relationship you want with yourself.

    • Your relationship with yourself is formed by your thoughts, not your circumstances

    • How you treat yourself reflects who you believe you are and what you believe you deserve

    • You cannot hate yourself into transformation

    • Shame is not a motivator, it is a blocker

    • Thoughts are the most powerful determiner of every relationship in your life

    • Truth without love leads to harshness, love without truth leads to drift

    • You get to decide the tone of your inner relationship and practice it daily

You are not broken. You are not a problem to be fixed. You are a daughter of the King learning how to lead herself with truth, grace, and responsibility. This work takes practice, humility, and intention, and it is worth it.

  • Speaking Up as Self-Care: Using Your Voice Without Fear or Guilt
    Jan 28 2026

Many women think self-care means rest, boundaries, or better routines. But what if one of the most overlooked forms of self-care is learning to speak up. Not from anger. Not from fear. But from truth, clarity, and love.

In this episode, we explore speaking up as a form of self-care and stewardship. Too often, women stay quiet to keep the peace, avoid conflict, or protect others from discomfort. Over time, that silence creates resentment, disconnection, and inner unrest.

We talk about what keeps women from using their voice, how people-pleasing silence becomes self-abandonment, and how to speak from your true self rather than your wounded self. This is not about saying everything that comes to mind. It is about honoring what God placed inside you and learning to speak with wisdom, love, and intention.

    • Silence that comes from fear is not peace

    • Self-care includes stewarding your inner life, including your voice

    • People-pleasing silence teaches your nervous system that you do not matter

    • Speaking up early is gentler than staying silent and exploding later

    • Avoiding conflict is not the same as creating peace

    • Truth spoken in love builds connection and emotional maturity

    • You are allowed to have preferences, needs, and opinions without apologizing

You do not need to become louder or harsher to use your voice. Speaking up is about being truer. Caring for yourself includes honoring what God has entrusted to you.

If you recognize yourself in this episode and want support learning how to speak from clarity instead of fear, this is the kind of work I do in private coaching. You can schedule a right-fit call using the link in the show notes.

  • Follow-Through Is Self-Care: How Keeping Promises to Yourself Builds Self-Trust
    Jan 21 2026

Most women are incredibly reliable for everyone else. Appointments. Deadlines. Kids. Work. Church. But when it comes to following through for themselves, that’s often where things quietly fall apart. Over time, that doesn’t just affect habits. It erodes self-trust.

In this episode, we talk about why follow-through is not discipline for discipline’s sake. It’s self-care. It’s stewardship. And it’s one of the most practical ways to create peace, confidence, and stability in your life.

This episode is part of a series on self-care as stewardship. We’ve talked about deciding as self-care and planning as self-care. Today, we’re talking about follow-through.

You’ll learn how keeping small promises to yourself builds self-trust, reduces mental noise, and helps you live in alignment with who God created you to be. This isn’t about willpower or perfection. It’s about integrity, consistency, and learning to show up for yourself with wisdom and grace.

    Key Takeaways

    • Follow-through builds self-trust the same way trust is built with others: consistency over time

    • Broken self-trust creates mental clutter, self-doubt, and harsh self-talk

    • Follow-through is an act of stewardship, not selfishness

    • You cannot steward well what you continually abandon

    • Small promises kept matter more than big promises broken

    • Planning for a bad day is one of the most loving forms of self-care

    • Faithfulness, not perfection, is the goal

You don’t need to overhaul your life. You don’t need more motivation. You need one promise that matters and a plan you can keep. You are worth showing up for.

If this episode resonates, you’ll love my 31-day devotional Self-Care as Stewardship and the Life on Purpose Planner, both linked in the show notes. These tools are designed to help you decide, plan, follow through, and build self-trust one faithful step at a time.

  • The Cost of Not Planning
    Jan 14 2026

Once you make a decision, the next step is not more motivation. It’s a plan.

In this Episode 48, I’m continuing the conversation from decision-making as self-care and taking it one step further. We’re talking about planning as self-care and why making a plan is how you honor the decisions you’ve already made.

Planning isn’t about control, perfection, or rigidity. It’s about stewardship, clarity, and protecting the life you say you want.

Inside this episode, we talk about:

    • Why not planning is not neutral

    • How planning keeps you in motion instead of stuck

    • Why burnout often comes from re-deciding the same things over and over

    • How planning is still decision-making

    • Why every plan eliminates something and why that’s a good thing

    • The emotional and mental benefits of daily planning

    • How daily planning builds self-trust and emotional safety

    • Why avoiding planning doesn’t protect you from failure, it guarantees drift

I also share how daily planning fits into a bigger rhythm of weekly, monthly, and 90-day planning and why this layered approach actually makes life feel calmer, not more complicated.

    Resources mentioned in this episode:

    • Self-Care as Stewardship devotional (available on Amazon)

    • Life On Purpose 90-Day Planner (monthly, weekly, and daily planning pages designed to support follow-through)

Links and planning pages are available in the podcast resources.

  • Decision-Making Is Self-Care: Decide Once, Trust Yourself, and Move Forward
    Jan 7 2026

Decision-making is one of the most overlooked forms of self-care.

In this episode, I’m talking about why indecision is so exhausting, how decision fatigue quietly drains your energy, and why making a decision actually takes a split second. The real cost comes from the looping, researching, questioning, and second-guessing we do afterward.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why unmade decisions create mental exhaustion

    • How to recognize decision fatigue in your daily life

    • A simple three-question decision filter

    • How to have your own back after you make a decision

    • Why peace doesn’t come from perfect outcomes, but from inner alignment

This episode is especially for you if you feel overwhelmed, scattered, or stuck in your head. You don’t need more information. You need to decide and trust yourself.

Deciding is self-care. Self-trust is where peace lives.
