• Episode 082 | What the Black British Book Festival Taught Me About Staying a Student
    Oct 4 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yesterday, I was celebrating the incredible response to our Nipsey Hussle and Tupac Shakur books. Today, the Black British Book Festival in London reminded me how much I still don’t know. Looking at the roster, I realized I barely knew many of the Black British authors, their books or the stories they defend, despite London being much closer to Paris than New York or Los Angeles. So today, I stopped talking and listened. In this episode, I share why success should expand your curiosity, not your ego, and why anyone serious about mastering their field should never stop being a student.

  • Episode 081 | What Nipsey Hussle & Tupac Taught Me About Validating a Vision
    Oct 3 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our new OmaxBooks releases around Nipsey Hussle and Tupac Shakur are exceeding our expectations. Our distributor is already asking for more stock and a reprint, our upcoming event is sold out, and new partners including TRACE are joining the journey. But this episode isn’t really about success. It’s about validation. For years, OmaxBooks relied heavily on digital marketing and direct sales. The audience existed. The demand existed. What was missing was structured distribution. Sometimes your vision isn’t wrong. Your system is simply incomplete.

  • Episode 080 | Why I Keep Working Before I Get the “Yes”
    Oct 1 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For days, I kept working on a major magazine translation project without having a final yes. No certainty. No guarantee. I simply kept translating, adapting and learning. Then the call finally came, and instead of saying I was ready to start, I could say we were already more than halfway through. In this episode, I share why I sometimes choose to work before the opportunity is guaranteed, why not every hour needs an immediate ROI, and how the skills you build can remain valuable even when the original opportunity changes.

  • Episode 079 | What Substack Is Teaching Me About Turning an Audience Into a Business
    Sep 30 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yesterday, I said I needed to build a more direct relationship with my audience. Today, I acted on it. I officially launched the English OmaxBooks Club newsletter on Substack, including a paid subscription for the first time. I don’t know yet how many people will pay, and that’s exactly why this experiment matters. A like is attention. An email subscription is permission. A paid subscription is commitment. In this episode, I share why sometimes the only way to discover whether an audience can become a business is to finally ask people to pay.

  • Episode 078 | What the Spotify Outage Taught Me About Owning Your Audience
    Sep 29 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spotify went down today, and after almost 80 episodes of OmaxBooks Daily, it made me think about something bigger: I’m building an audience on platforms I don’t own. Spotify, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn give us incredible reach, but access is not ownership. A printed book reminded me of the opposite: once it exists and you own it, no server, algorithm or outage can take the experience away. In this episode, I explain why I’m finally prioritizing the OmaxBooks newsletter and building a more direct relationship with the community before launching our app.

  • Episode 077 | Why I Stopped OmaxBooks Daily for Two Days on Purpose
    Sep 28 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I didn’t publish OmaxBooks Daily for two days, and this time it was completely intentional. September 27th was my birthday, and I decided to spend a quiet weekend with my family without forcing myself to turn every moment into content. Earlier in this journey, I missed an episode because exhaustion made the decision for me. This time, I made the decision myself. In this episode, I share why consistency matters, but why creators, entrepreneurs and authors should never become prisoners of the routines they created to help them grow.

  • Episode 076 | 3 Rules to Delegate Better Without Lowering Your Standards
    Sep 25 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Today, I spent hours working on the French adaptation of a magazine around J. Cole. Translation, typography, graphic design, layout and even deciding which cultural references should never be translated. I’m not a graphic designer, and I don’t want to personally execute every task as OmaxBooks grows. But today reminded me that there’s a difference between delegating something you understand and delegating something you know nothing about. In this episode, I share three rules I’m learning about delegation, quality and why you can delegate the work without delegating your standards.

  • Episode 075 | Why Working With Your Competition Can Make Everyone Stronger
    Sep 24 2026

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For our upcoming Tupac Shakur and Nipsey Hussle event in Paris, I could have made everything about OmaxBooks. Instead, I invited different voices from hip-hop culture, including a journalist, a podcaster and even Driver, another publisher translating African-American books into French. On paper, we could call each other competitors. But when the entire category still needs more visibility, maybe fighting for your individual share matters less than making the whole market bigger. In this episode, I explain why sometimes collaboration with your competition can create something none of you could build alone.
