  • 92. LinkedIn Profile Tips: New Add Section Layout and Activity Settings
    Oct 12 2026

LinkedIn profile tips for coaches, consultants, and service professionals who want more control over the first impression their profile makes.

In this episode of Entrepreneur Rescue Mission, we cover two LinkedIn profile updates you need to know about. First, the Add section button has a new, simpler layout. We walk through the seven main sections, what lives under More, and how to decide which sections are worth adding to your profile.

Then we cover an older feature most people have never touched. In your Activity section, one content type is highlighted in green, and that's what visitors see first. You'll learn how to change it to posts, videos, images, newsletters, or events, and why it's worth testing different options and checking your analytics.

  • 91. LinkedIn Growth Is a Contact Sport: 3 Habits That Move Your Business Forward
    Oct 5 2026

If LinkedIn feels overwhelming, you're not alone. There's a lot you could be doing, and it's easy to stay busy without seeing real business growth.

In this episode, we keep it simple. Three activities, done consistently, that build your network, start more conversations, and create more opportunities for your business.

Connect. Send at least 15 connection requests a day, Monday through Friday, to potential ideal clients and referral partners. Without new connections, you can't grow your visibility, your reach, or your leads.

Converse. Reach out to 5 people a day. It doesn't have to be complicated. Welcome a new connection, send a birthday or work anniversary message, or thank someone for voting in your poll. Growing a business is a contact sport, and you can't wait for people to come to you.

Create. Publish 3 pieces of thought leadership content a week. When someone gets your message, they check your profile to see what you're about. Your content is what gets them to reply.

Whether you're doing one of these, none of them, or used to do all three and got away from it, this is your reminder to get back to it.

  • 90. LinkedIn Algorithm Changes: Collaborative Posts, AI Slop, and Reach
    Sep 28 2026

LinkedIn's algorithm is changing how your content gets seen. In this episode, we break down the three biggest updates coaches, consultants, and service professionals need to know right now.

First, LinkedIn collaborative posts. You can now publish a post with up to five collaborators, so it shows up in their networks, not just yours. We walk through how to add collaborators on desktop and mobile, how it's different from tagging, and why you should always ask before adding someone.

Second, LinkedIn's feed is getting smarter. Specific content beats broad content, relevance matters more than follower count, and talking about the same topics consistently is how you get known for them. It's old to you, but it's new to someone else.

Third, AI content is getting a closer look. We explain LinkedIn's new AI slop flag, what happens if one of your posts gets flagged, and how to use AI to support your voice instead of replacing it.

    In this episode:

    • How LinkedIn collaborative posts work and who to collaborate with.
    • Why collaborating reaches more people than tagging.
    • How LinkedIn's feed decides who sees your content.
    • Why repeating your core message helps you grow.
    • What the AI slop flag does, and how to keep your content human.

  • 89. The Connection Request Note That Is Costing You Replies
    Sep 21 2026

Stop adding notes to your LinkedIn connection requests.

The advice used to be that a personalized note gets you accepted more often. That was true when almost nobody was doing it. Now the note is the fastest way to look like every other pitch sitting in someone's notifications.

In this episode, we read real connection requests that landed in our inbox this month, explain why not one of them earns a reply, and cover what to do instead.

    Inside this episode:

Why a pitch inside a connection request never works
The three situations where a note actually makes sense, with word for word examples

Why LinkedIn now limits how many personalized notes you can send

The message to send the moment someone accepts, and what to never send

Why the goal of a connection request is not the sale

  • 88. The LinkedIn Authority Formula: 3 Steps That Turn Content Into Clients
    Sep 14 2026

Being visible on LinkedIn and being trusted on LinkedIn are two different things.

Most coaches and consultants are already posting consistently. What they are not getting is the call, the referral, or the reply that turns into business. That is not a posting problem. It is an authority problem.

In this episode we walk through the LinkedIn Authority Formula, three parts that work together.

Give value before you ask, so your content stands completely on its own. Build a content ecosystem, so people have somewhere to go after they read you. Become known for something specific, so people can describe you when you are not in the room.

The goal was never viral content. It is being known, trusted, and remembered by the right people.

  • 87. The LinkedIn Content Growth Formula: 3 Jobs Every Post Needs
    Sep 7 2026

You posted something thoughtful on Tuesday. It took you forty minutes. Nothing happened.

No comments worth answering. No profile views. No conversations.

Most coaches and consultants assume that means the writing was not good enough. Usually it means the post was never given a job before it went out.

In this episode, I break down the LinkedIn Content Growth Formula, the three-part approach we teach for creating content that reaches the right people instead of just filling a slot.

Here is what I get into.

Why every single post needs one job, and why the three options are grow your authority, build trust, or sell without selling. Most posts try all three at once and land none of them.

Why specific content wins and broad content disappears. LinkedIn now ranks on meaning and intent, so vague content gives the system nothing to work with. This is also where the Triangle of Trust comes in, meaning your headline, About section, and Experience section all have to agree with what you post.

Why relevance beats follower count. You do not need 10,000 followers. I went from 500 connections in 2013 to nearly 38,000 followers today, and the honest version of that story is thirteen years long.

  • 86. LinkedIn's AI Slop Button: What It Means for Your Content
    Aug 31 2026

LinkedIn quietly added a button that lets anyone report your post as AI slop, and one tap can cut your reach before you ever notice.

It launched in July and lives in the three dot menu on every post and comment in the feed. No verification. No appeal process. Just a quiet drop in distribution and a private notice in your analytics dashboard.

In this episode we walk through what the feature actually does, why LinkedIn built it, and how to make sure your content never trips it.

    What we cover:

    • The exact location of the AI slop button and how to find it
    • What happens to a post after someone reports it
    • The Pangram Labs study showing 41% of long form LinkedIn posts are fully AI generated
    • Why LinkedIn retired its own "enhance your post" writing tool
    • The case for caution, because this button has no accountability built in
    • When flagging content is fair and when it is simply unkind
    • Six practical ways to keep AI out of your thinking and still use it well

Our position has not changed. AI belongs in your workflow as a tool that expands your voice and shortens the work. It does not belong in the seat where your point of view should be. LinkedIn is not punishing AI use, it is punishing absent effort, and that distinction is about to separate the accounts that grow from the ones that quietly stall.

  • 85. The 3 Missing Pieces of Your LinkedIn Profile
    Aug 24 2026

Most LinkedIn profiles are missing three small things, and those three things are costing people visibility, reach, and business every single day.

In this episode we walk through the profile sections almost everyone skips... your custom LinkedIn URL, the call to action at the end of your About section, and how to actually use your Featured section. None of these take longer than fifteen minutes. None of them require creating new content.

If you are a coach, consultant, or service professional using LinkedIn to grow your business, these three fixes make you easier to find, easier to contact, and easier to follow somewhere you actually own.

    In this episode:

    • Why the smallest profile details are the ones people overlook most
    • How to claim a custom LinkedIn URL, and the rules LinkedIn holds you to
    • The two calls to action every About section should end with, and why they are not clickable on purpose
    • Why your calendar link does not belong in your About section
    • The mistake almost everyone makes with the Featured section
    • The lead magnet, newsletter, website setup we recommend
    • How to move people from LinkedIn to somewhere you actually own
