  • My Second Act Glow-Up Routine: Daily Habits Helping Me Feel Better in Midlife
    Jan 21 2026

In this episode, I’m sharing what my second act glow-up routine actually looks like right now and spoiler alert, it has nothing to do with extremes, restriction or becoming someone new.

    This isn’t a makeover. It’s a reset of priorities.

In midlife, feeling better doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from doing the right small things consistently. These are the daily habits that are helping me feel more energized, grounded and strong in this season of life.

In this episode, I walk you through:

    • Why sleep has become non-negotiable for my energy and mood

    • How starting my mornings with the Bible in a Year podcast changed my mindset

    • Why I recommitted to eating gluten-free and how it impacts digestion and bloating

    • What cutting back on sugar actually looks like in real life

    • How I’ve shifted to movement I genuinely love, not workouts I dread

    • Why mobility work matters more than ever in midlife

    • How I’m thinking about skincare and sun protection for future-me

    • Why scheduling what matters is the key to consistency

    • The role protein and real meals play in how I feel

    • And why daily walking ties everything together

If you’ve been feeling a little off, tired, bloated, or stuck in midlife, this episode is meant to feel like reassurance. You don’t need a drastic overhaul. You need small habits that support the life you’re living now.

  • Why Midlife Women Need More Play (Not Just More Workouts)
    Jan 14 2026

In this episode, we’re talking about something so many midlife women are missing, even if they don’t realize it yet: play.

Somewhere between raising families, building careers, and carrying responsibility, many of us stop doing things just because they are fun. Movement becomes about burning calories. Life becomes about productivity. And joy slowly slips to the bottom of the list.

But research shows that staying active and socially connected as we age supports our mental health, physical health, brain function, and overall happiness. In other words, play is not frivolous. It is part of how we stay vibrant.

In this episode, I’m sharing how trying new things in midlife, including activities like pickleball and golf, has brought laughter, friendship, and confidence into my own life, and why being willing to be a beginner again can be one of the healthiest things we do.

    We’ll talk about:

    • Why women stop “playing” as adults

    • The courage it takes to try something new in midlife

    • How fun and friendship support emotional and brain health

    • Why strength training supports the things you love to do

    • How to stay competitive without putting pressure on yourself

    • And why joy belongs in your wellness routine

If you’ve been feeling a little stuck, tired, or disconnected, this episode is your reminder that you don’t need a whole new life. Sometimes, you just need more play.

  • What This Year Taught Me About Growth, Discomfort, and Trust in Midlife
    Dec 24 2025

My birthday falls between Christmas and New Year, which makes it the perfect time to pause and reflect instead of rushing ahead.

This year was full of joy and adventure. Travel to New England and Africa. Watching my daughter graduate college and step into adulthood. Fully embracing the freedom and fun of midlife and empty nest life.

And at the same time, it was a challenging year professionally. My industry shifted, uncertainty showed up in new ways, and I had to build resilience instead of avoiding discomfort.

In this episode, I’m sharing what this year taught me about growth in midlife, learning to sit with discomfort, and building trust with myself. These reflections go beyond birthdays. They mirror the real process of change, whether it’s in life, business, or fat loss.

    • Why midlife birthdays feel more reflective than celebratory

    • How a year can look amazing on the outside and still feel challenging

    • Lessons from navigating change and uncertainty in midlife

    • What learning to delay satisfaction has taught me about self-trust

    • Why discomfort is often a sign that growth is happening

    • How mental resilience shows up in the gym and in everyday life

    • The connection between patience, consistency, and lasting fat loss

    • Why progress doesn’t always feel good while it’s working

    • What I’m most proud of this year beyond accomplishments

If you’re in midlife and this year felt slower, harder, or more uncomfortable than you expected, this episode is for you. Growth doesn’t always feel exciting in the moment, but it’s still meaningful.

Another year older hasn’t meant fewer opportunities. It’s brought more clarity, confidence, and trust in the process and that feels like real progress.

  • The Truth About Midlife Wellness Trends: What’s Worth It, What’s Optional, and What You Can Skip
    Dec 17 2025

In this episode, I’m talking honestly about the wellness and fitness trends being marketed to midlife women right now. Everywhere you look, there’s a new gadget, supplement, test, or protocol promising better hormones, faster fat loss, or a healthier body. And while some of these tools can be helpful, a lot of them are overhyped and unnecessary.

I walk through popular trends like weighted vests, vibration plates, rebounders, walking pads, compression boots, cold plunges, saunas, detox teas, parasite cleanses, hormone testing kits, creatine, greens powders, and more. I break down what the research actually shows, what these tools really do, and where the marketing goes too far.

We also talk about detox teas and what’s really in them, why “detox” claims are misleading, and how your body already detoxes itself without expensive products. I explain the difference between lifestyle tools and medical treatments, including an honest discussion about GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and who they may be appropriate for.

I share which tools I personally think can be worth considering for fitness, recovery, and aging well, and which ones are completely optional or easy to skip. Most importantly, I bring the focus back to the foundations that matter most in midlife: strength training, protein, walking, sleep, hydration, stress management, and consistency.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by wellness trends or wondered if you’re missing out on something everyone else seems to be doing, this episode will help you filter the noise, save your money, and feel confident about what actually works for your body in this season of life.

  • Life Lately in Midlife: Hosting, Holidays & Navigating Adult Kids
    Dec 3 2025

This week on Live Your Best Midlife, I’m bringing you a big Life Lately update — the real, the funny, the chaotic and the heart-level parts of this season.

We’re talking deer camp, Thanksgiving, escaping cold weather, staying active in winter and how I’m learning to be a chill mom with my adult kids during the holidays.

    In this episode, I share:

What it’s like feeding a house full of hungry guys, rolling straight into Thanksgiving prep, and the mindset that makes hosting easier in midlife.

The moment I saw snow in the forecast and said, “No thank you!” Packed up the dog and hit the road. My mood shift the second I hit sunshine was… dramatic.

My step count drops HARD in the winter, so I’m sharing practical ideas that actually help midlife women stay active when the temps plummet:

    • Finding the warmest walk window

    • Indoor movement “snacks”

    • Indoor pickleball

    • Using your walking pad

    • Store laps (yes, Costco counts!)

    • Group fitness like Zumba, step, spinning, and my personal favorite… hot yoga

This season looks different when your kids are grown. I talk about shifting traditions, letting go of expectations, not guilt-tripping your kids and why I’m choosing to be the chill, flexible mom. The relationship matters more than the date on the calendar.
