A proposito di questo titolo
My birthday falls between Christmas and New Year, which makes it the perfect time to pause and reflect instead of rushing ahead.
This year was full of joy and adventure. Travel to New England and Africa. Watching my daughter graduate college and step into adulthood. Fully embracing the freedom and fun of midlife and empty nest life.
And at the same time, it was a challenging year professionally. My industry shifted, uncertainty showed up in new ways, and I had to build resilience instead of avoiding discomfort.
In this episode, I’m sharing what this year taught me about growth in midlife, learning to sit with discomfort, and building trust with myself. These reflections go beyond birthdays. They mirror the real process of change, whether it’s in life, business, or fat loss.
Why midlife birthdays feel more reflective than celebratory
How a year can look amazing on the outside and still feel challenging
Lessons from navigating change and uncertainty in midlife
What learning to delay satisfaction has taught me about self-trust
Why discomfort is often a sign that growth is happening
How mental resilience shows up in the gym and in everyday life
The connection between patience, consistency, and lasting fat loss
Why progress doesn’t always feel good while it’s working
What I’m most proud of this year beyond accomplishments
If you’re in midlife and this year felt slower, harder, or more uncomfortable than you expected, this episode is for you. Growth doesn’t always feel exciting in the moment, but it’s still meaningful.
Another year older hasn’t meant fewer opportunities. It’s brought more clarity, confidence, and trust in the process and that feels like real progress.
