  • When the Body Learns It’s Safe to Stay
    Feb 1 2026

In this episode, we explore what it means for the body to soften into safety — not as an idea, but as a lived experience. Many of us have learned to leave ourselves in moments of stress, doubt, or overwhelm. This episode gently invites a return.

Through reflection, story, and an embodied practice, we explore how safety is not something we force, but something that emerges when the body feels met. You don’t need to fix anything here. You don’t need to perform calm. You only need to notice what happens when you’re allowed to stay.

  • Relational Safety: Coming Back to Harbour
    Jan 23 2026

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION
In this first episode of Body As Witness, we begin at the harbour.

This episode is an invitation to arrive — just as you are — and to explore what it means for the nervous system to settle through being met, rather than fixed.

Through a gentle, imaginal journey from harbour to island, into the jungle and finally to the fire, Joe introduces the core approach of Body As Witness: presence, choice, and companionship.

At the fire, Joe shares a personal story about meeting family after a long time apart, and discovering that simply being present — without fixing or managing — can bring a quiet sense of relief.

    This episode explores:

    • what it means to be “met” in relationship
    • why safety doesn’t always feel familiar
    • how the nervous system learns through small moments, not force
    • the experience of coming back home to yourself

There’s nothing to get right here.
Just a place to begin — and to return to.

    LISTENER NOTES
You’re welcome to listen to this episode in whatever way feels safest for you.

If parts of the imagery or pacing feel unfamiliar, that’s okay.
There’s no need to visualise anything perfectly, or to stay with every moment.

You can pause, move, or return later.

This is not about calming yourself down or making anything change.
It’s about being accompanied — exactly as you are.

We’ll take the journey slowly, and we’ll come back.
