L'universo descritto da Simmons è davvero ben dettagliato e unico in molti particolari (es. i portali farcaster e le anti-enthropic tides) ed è chiaro quanta influenza ha prodotto su molte generazioni di scrittori che sono arrivati dopo (la serie The Expanse di Corey è la prima che mi viene in mente).
In questo contesto, le storie narrate dai pellegrini sono ben congegnate e spaziano su molti piani narrativi per poi convergere tutte sul pianeta Hyperion, un pianeta misterioso che è il fulcro di interessi delle organizzazioni interstellari.
Concludo facendo i complimenti ai narratori che hanno interpretato i personaggi al meglio (NB: il libro è in lingua inglese).

bellissima trama, ascolterò anche il seguito di questo classico del genere fantasy spaziale ambientato in un futuro dove le AI non sono troppo simpatiche
