  • Facing The Music... w/Lesli Sanders of Prophets of Addiction.
    May 11 2026

This week's double dose of denim continues with Lesli Sanders frontman of Prophets of Addiction, a renowned West Coast sleaze rock group. Currently, the band is possibly preparing for a lively 2026 with a few UK tour dates, festival appearances that may include the Hard Rock Hell Sleaze 9 festival. Time will tell according to Lesli. Gen X Joe and Lesli also talk all things rock and sleaze regarding their latest album Face The Music, and an emotional sing off the album title 'Slippin Away' Lesli wrote about his father's battle with cancer. It's definitely a roller coaster of emotions in this episode of the Youth Gone Mild Podcast.

  • Taking The LEAD In The Fight Against Substance Abuse... w/Darren Griffith.
    May 4 2026

In Season 1, Episode 10, Gen X Joe is shining a light on Darren Griffith and the Lead Don't Follow Foundation! 🎸

What started as a t-shirt company has grown into something truly powerful. Darren Griffith, along with his fiancée Michelle Walling, created Lead Don't Follow — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based out of Hagerstown, MD; that is on a mission to transform lives, provide help, and instill hope for those battling drug and alcohol addiction. Every t-shirt sold goes directly to helping individuals who can't afford treatment. Did you know a 28-day rehab program can cost $36,000? Darren is working to change that — one shirt, one concert, and one life at a time. If you or someone you love is struggling, know that there is help and there are people who care. • In the Groove with Acey Longley and the B.E.AT.S. Foundation.
    Apr 27 2026

This week for my second interview of a double dose of denim, Season 1, Episode 8 Gen X Joe interviews Acey Longley, son of former Great White guitarist Ty Longley. Acey and Gen X Joe discuss his charity called B.E.A.T.S., standing for 'Bringing Everyone A Tremendous Smile'. It’s a gentle pun as Acey’s musical passion is the drums, which he has been playing since he was a toddler. The roots of Acey’s charity grew from the January 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti. LifeSpring, the Christian church that Acey and his mother attended, became involved in relief efforts. After this, he conceived something bigger right around the time of the ninth anniversary of The Station fire. He felt he wanted to help more children, this time in the United States and he wanted to honor his father. As a result, he thought young hospital patients might appreciate gifts of drumsticks, toys, action figures, dolls or gift cards. His mother Heidi reached out to contacts she’d kept in the rock world and soon, donations of drumsticks began arriving from musicians who play for KISS, Fleetwood Mac, 3 Doors Down, REO Speedwagon and other bands. As well Once Bitten (Jack Russell) and Great White themselves. This is a heartfelt interview sure to make the hardest rockers shed a tear and make your mascara run.
