On last week's CIUT show, I caught up with Jeremy Gaudet, singer and guitarist in Toronto based indie rock band Kiwi jr.! One of my favourite guests that I've been having on the show since 2022, Kiwi jr. have been on a steady rise up. Now on their fourth album, Blowin' Up, Jeremy phoned in to chat about the new album's complex and darker tone, channelling a rock n' roll spirit through Joe Perry of Aerosmith's guitar, working with Protomartyr, and the rich lives of the kiwi cast of lyrical characters. Catch them on tour sometime, they just finished a Toronto date that we talked about on air, and will be hitting up Europe and parts of the US soon, dates on their website here.
