  • Ep. 014 - releasing what no longer serves you
    Jul 19 2026

If you have ever wondered how to let go of what no longer serves you, this episode is for you.

We treat letting go like a single clean decision, and then wonder why it never sticks. In this episode of The Slow Inhale, Gwen offers a different starting place. Before you try to release something, ask whether it was ever yours tohold. Half of what we carry the longest was handed to us, a fear that belonged to someone else, a standard set by a person no longer in our lives, a role we were assigned before we could refuse it. Those we can set down simply by seeingthey were never ours. The rest we loosen slowly, one finger at a time.

The episode closes with a simple releasing breath, four counts in and eight counts out with open hands, that you can use anywhere.

    In this episode

Why letting go rarely works as one decision. The question to ask before you try to release anything. How to tell what was handed to you from what is truly yours. Why you are not what you carry. A releasing breath for opening your hands.

  • Ep. 013 - the weight of being the strong one
    Jul 12 2026

If you have ever wondered why being the strong one is exhausting, this episode is for you.

You are the person everyone calls when things fall apart. You are trusted, steady, and very good at handling it. And somewhere along the way, the better you got at carrying things, the fewer people thought to check on you. In this episode of The Slow Inhale, Gwen explores the quiet cost of being the capable one. How competence teaches the people around you to stop asking. What the body keeps track of while you keep going. And why the permission you have been waiting for is not coming from outside.

The episode closes with a simple guided breath practice, four counts in and six counts out, that you can use anywhere.

How you became the one who handles it. Why competence looks like wellness from the outside. The resentment you will not let yourself have. What asking can actually look like, and why it does not require you to unravel. A gentle breathpractice for setting something down.

  • Ep. 011 - what grief leaves in the body
    Jun 28 2026

If you have ever wondered where grief lives in the body, thisgentle episode is for you.

We tend to treat grief as something that happens in the mind,a sadness to think through and move past. But grief lives in the body, and it holds the losses we never gave ourselves permission to feel, sometimes for years.

In this tender episode of The Slow Inhale, Gwen explores what grief leaves behind in the body, the many losses we never name, the difference between grief that needs to be witnessed and grief that needs to be released, and why the long exhale helps grief begin to move. The second half is a gentle guided practice: a hand on the place you feel it, and a breath to let a little of it loosen. Reflection and practice, around 10 minutes.

    A GENTLE NOTE

This episode touches grief and loss. Be gentle with yourselfas you listen, and pause whenever you need to. If you are carrying something heavy, you do not have to carry it alone. Reaching out to someone you trust, or to a professional, is always okay.

  • Ep. 010 - you keep trying to earn your worth
    Jun 21 2026

If you feel like you have to earn your worth, this episode is a place to set that weight down.

So many of us learned to treat worth like something we earn, through doing, giving, achieving, and never dropping the ball. In this episode of The Slow Inhale, Gwen traces where that belief begins, how the body carries it as constant effort, and why the worth you were born with was never up for review. The second half moves into a short guided breath you can return to whenever the not enough feeling comes back. Reflection and practice, around 11 minutes, a soft place to land in the middle of a proving week.

  • Ep. 009 - the rest you keep postponing
    Jun 14 2026

If you've ever wondered why you're so tired even when you rest, this episode is for you. You keep postponing rest until everything's done, but everything never gets done, and so the rest never comes.

Most of us treat rest like a reward we have to earn bybeing productive enough first. But rest was never a reward. It's a need, the thing that keeps everything else working. In this episode, Gwen explores why you can sleep a full night and still feel exhausted, the difference between the tired that sleep fixes and the deeper depletion that builds up over years of pushing past your limits, and why collapsing on the couch is not the same as real rest. You'll learn what it means to rest on purpose, before you run on empty, and why a few intentional breaths in the middle of your day can restore you in a way that collapse never will. We close with a short guided practice for a moment of real rest.

  • Ep. 008 - you're not behind
    Jun 7 2026

You're not behind. You're just in a different season than the one you keep comparing yourself to. This episode is about honoring the season you're actually in.

So much of our exhaustion comes from living in the wrongseason, demanding growth when our body is asking for rest, forcing summer when we're quietly in winter. In this episode, Gwen explores what it means to stop fighting your actual season and start trusting it. Why the slow, quiet, underground seasons are not failures but necessary work. Why comparing your winter to someone else's summer will always leave you feeling behind. And how the word trust can change your entire relationship to where you are right now. We close with a gentle practice for naming your season and asking what itactually needs from you.

  • Ep. 007 - rooted in the ordinary
    May 31 2026

The sacred isn't somewhere else. It's in the first sipof coffee, the warm water on your hands, the quiet seconds before the day begins. This episode is about finding the meaningful life you already have.

We've been taught that a meaningful life is built out of big moments, and that the sacred lives somewhere else, on the retreat, in the perfect routine, in the calmer season we're still waiting for. So we rush through the ordinary on our way to something better. In this episode, Gwen offers a gentler truth: the ordinary is not the thing standing between you and a meaningful life. The ordinary is the life. Sacred living is not a ceremony you perform or a practice you do perfectly. It's the decision to be fully present in one ordinary moment instead of rushing past it. We close with a simple practice that asks for no extra time at all.
