• Ep. 16 "Mini Series week 5- Bedazzled PureWick? Denied. Clinical Tips? Approved"
    Dec 6 2025

This week’s episode is full of chaos and clinical pearls. We kick things off with the story of how our bedazzled PureWick ended up getting coat checked by security at the Nurse Blake show (because apparently sparkles are contraband now). After that, we dive into part two of preparing to be successful in nursing school, specifically focusing on how we made the most out of our clinical experiences.Alora and Jess break down what showing up ready to learn actually looks like, how we stayed engaged, and the mindset that helped us get the most out of every rotation. We also talk about Monika M CEO and original Bad Apple, Nurse Mike, and Nurse Cathy and the meaningful work they are doing for the nursing community.

  • "Mini Series Ep.2" We Bought EVERYTHING for Nursing School… Here’s What Was Worth It
    Nov 14 2025

In this episode of Panic and Treat, we’re back with Part Two of our “Surviving Nursing School” mini-series... and this week we’re getting honest about what we actually needed to survive nursing school… and what we really could’ve left in the Amazon cart.

We kick things off with some real-life patient interaction stories (because of course something always happens before we record), and then dive into the money talk: the supplies worth every penny, the stuff that collected dust, and the purchases we wish someone warned us about.

It’s a laid-back, judgment-free breakdown of what helps, what hurts, and what you can skip when you’re trying to make it through nursing school without draining your entire bank account.

Listen on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, and follow Panic and Treat for more honest conversations about nursing, growth, and real life behind the scrubs.

  • Ep. 14: “Mini-Series Week 3- Building Your Arsenal to Beat Nursing School!”
    Nov 21 2025

This week on the nursing school mini-series, Alora and Jess talk about how they got prepared for the lectures and all the resources they used! They also talk about some extra hard skills that are not necessarily nursing-based, such as teaching, that you would need to be prepared to hone as you progress through nursing school!

Resource we loved and would recommend:

    1. Simple Nursing- get the books, get the subscription, use it! YouTube videos are free, but the subscription offers more in-depth study resources and guides. Worth the splurge! Also, we met nurse Mike not once but TWICE, a very genuine, amazing human! Would back him 100%. He is a great educator! Follow him on social media. Check out his podcast as well.

    2. Level Up RN- Alora bought the Pharm cards, and we would watch the videos and follow along! Once again, worth the price tag! We also met Nurse Kathy, who was very genuine and an amazing human being! 100% back her as an educator as well, so follow her social media!

    3. Nurse in the making- Jess splurged on her book and was handed down all the flash cards. Definitely worth it!

    4. U World

    5. Archer Review

    6. Bad Apple

    7. Jess’s overview sheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UZSiro-CrmhFORX6i-_23Eo5m6CHvuE5/view?usp=sharing

    8. OFFICE HOURS - Get to know your instructors and get comfortable asking questions! Utilize office hours and get that extra time to pick their brain and get your questions answered!

    9. Study groups- find your people! Utilize this as practice teaching, active recall, and to make sure you’re focusing on the right things. Find what works for you.

    10. Prepare for class! - know that nursing classes are so vastly different than a therapy class you have ever studied for. You have to prepare for the lecture by reading the book, watching videos, and digesting the info. Then head to the lecture and have your questions ready so you know your weak points.

    11. READ THE BOOK- yes, we know it sucks, yes, we did it.

    12. Good notes, and Notability for iPad notetaking

    13. Google NotebookLM - make AI-generated podcasts out of your notes or lectures!
