  • Ep 17 Uchronia with Foivos D-The Mind Corner
    Apr 28 2026

In this episode of The Mind Corner, we dive into the world of film and storytelling with a special guest — a movie writer from the British Film Institute, known for the project Uchronia, Foivos D.

This conversation is a little different from our usual setup — it’s our very first episode recorded over FaceTime. Despite the distance, we still manage to explore the creative process behind filmmaking, the challenges of bringing ideas to life, and the deeper meaning behind storytelling.

Covering an entire film journey in one episode is never easy, but we found ways to break it down, reflect, and connect it back to real human experiences — exactly what The Mind Corner is all about.

Next time, we’ll be taking things to the studio for an even deeper conversation.

  • Ep 16 Sh*t talk with Jesamine-The Mind Corner
    Apr 21 2026

In this special episode before the London Marathon, I opened up about the nerves, the pressure, and everything building up to the big day. This time, it felt different—I was so nervous that I needed to bring a friend along for support.

What started as a simple conversation turned into something much deeper. Two friends catching up after a long time, sharing laughs, memories, and honest thoughts about life, fear, and stepping into something big.

It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s a reminder that sometimes, the best way to face a challenge is not alone—but with someone who truly gets you.

Content Warning: This episode includes discussions of sensitive topics such as sexual violence and other difficult experiences. Listener discretion is advised. Some names and details have been intentionally censored (bleeped) to protect privacy.

    Mar 18 2026

In this special episode of The Mind Corner for Podcasthon 2026, we join hundreds of podcasts around the world dedicating their voices to important causes. This year, our chosen charity is Sarcoma UK, an organisation working to improve the lives of people affected by sarcoma, a rare and often overlooked form of cancer.

In this powerful and emotional conversation, I’m joined by two incredible guests. Enda, a member of the Sarcoma UK team, shares insight into the vital work the organisation does—raising awareness, supporting patients and families, and funding critical research for this rare cancer.

We are also joined by Chris Whellams, who courageously shares the story of losing his wife, Laura, to sarcoma. His testimony is a moving reminder of the human impact behind this disease and why awareness, funding, and specialised treatment are so important.

This episode is deeply personal. It is dedicated in memory of my brother, Andres Rafael Ricardo Vasquez, and Laura Whellams, two beautiful souls whose lives were taken by sarcoma. Through their memory, we continue to raise awareness, share stories, and support the fight against this disease.

Together, we talk about grief, resilience, advocacy, and how communities can come together to support research and specialised care for sarcoma patients.
