Steve Bays is a musician and recording engineer from British Columbia, Canada. He may be best known as the frontman / songwriter for Hot Hot Heat, which have released music with Sub Pop and Warner Brothers. The band has 5 full length albums, a handful of EPs, and several of hit singles. He’s notably toured across country with Foo Fighters, Weezer, The Killers, and Snow Patrol. He’s performed major festivals including Coachella and Glastonbury. His band were previously on the front cover of NME and have been featured in countless other publications. Steve owns and operates his own recording studio - Tugboat Pl. Studio where he has worked with artists including Diplo, Steve Aoki, Fitz and the Tantrums, and many many others.
