The effect of cancer is far reaching.  1 in 2 Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.  This week many homes open their doors to friends, neighbours and strangers to raise funds for cancer research.  Personally, I have lost both parents and my eldest brother to cancer and another brother who has survived.  With my own recent long wait for results that were fortunately clear, the feeling and emotions are like a roller coaster.  Cancer survival rates have increased from 49% in the 1980’s to 69% today due to research.  Don’t put off your check up.
