The first hell week of the season has begun. I call the first week of the season hell week one because I'm out of shape and I am having to do more clean up than I would like. Hell week 2 comes when the grass goes to seed mid May. The Spring rush has also begun and believe it or not it can kill a business if your not careful. If you are running a lawn care business you have to know your cost of doing business, your break even. In this episode I give you the formula for calculating your break even number.

Break Even Formula:

Total Overhead / Amount of Lawns = overhead per lawn per season

Overhead Per Lawn Per Season / Number of Total Cuts for the season = Break Even Per Lawn

Knowing your break even number per lawn gives you a baseline of what you MUST charge per lawn to break even. Everything on top of that is profit. It is extremely important to know your break even number.
