  • 80% have quit their resolutions. Here’s how to un-quit.
    Jan 12 2026

Dear soul, if you’ve missed a day, you are not alone. 80% of people have already quit their big goals, proving the "all or nothing" approach to habit building doesn’t work. In this journal entry we will explore how to "Un-Quit" your resolution by shifting your mindset to focus on identity instead of unreachable targets. True transformation isn't about achieving the goal (i.e. losing 10 lbs) but consistently choosing the identity (i.e. being a healthy person).

You will learn how to permanently “pick it back up” with three powerful steps:

    • Self-Compassion: Immediately stop the cycle of self-judgment when you miss a day.
    • The 1% Rule: Choose the tiniest daily action that is non-negotiable, this guarantees success.
    • Build Self-Trust: Master the art of showing up so you can gradually scale your actions until you become the writer, the healthy person, or the focused individual you want to be.

Start small, be consistent, and keep your dream from being left in the dust.

✨Dear soul, I'd love to cheer you on in the comments! What is the absolute tiniest action you are going to commit to, so you can build trust in yourself, and become the person you want to become?

  • When loneliness is the better option for idealists
    Jan 7 2026

Dear soul, this journal entry offers you the permission to break up with toxic relationships and incompatible family members who diminish your sensitive soul's light. I ask us to look at the uncomfortable truth that sometimes choosing loneliness is the better option.

For the idealist, it is painful when you show up with your whole heart and unique gifts, only to have them rejected or minimized. This video explores the journey of realizing that sometimes, people are just incompatible—and that’s okay.

    I talk about:

    • The crucial difference between setting boundaries within healthy relationships and choosing to emotionally and physically disconnect from unhealthy relationships.
    • Using MBTI personality typology as a tool for understanding relational incompatibility.
    • Why trying to fill a hole of loneliness with mismatched people only leads to more heartache.
    • The final, liberating step of freeing yourself from the relationships that weigh you down so you can focus on sharing your gifts with the world.

This journal entry will help you to reflect on your relationships and encourage you to choose self-worth and self-reliance over endless heartache.

  • Idealist Mindset: The Secret to Not Giving Up
    Jan 4 2026

The secret to achieving long-term consistency for idealists isn't just setting an internal goal—it’s developing the Idealist Mindset that finally stops you from giving up on your healing, your personal projects, and yourself.

Dear soul, we've talked about how external pressure and deadlines cause New Year's resolutions to fail. But even with intrinsic goals like self-love and healing, the motivation often dies. There are two main reasons we as idealists give up:

    - Perfectionism: The ideal vision in our minds can never match the "ugly first draft" of reality, causing us to feel like failures and quit entirely.

    - External Metrics: When the effort we put in doesn't immediately match external validation (like low views or slow progress), we lose motivation.

In this journal entry we look at the three keys of the Idealist Mindset that break this cycle, so that we don't give up! This is the philosophy that keeps the Lightbearer's Library going, and it’s the resilient mindset you need to maintain momentum.

✨ What is the one ridiculously simple, tiny step you can take today to move toward your ideal vision? Share your action in the comments below!

  • Why new year’s resolutions don’t work for idealists
    Jan 3 2026

    New Year, Same You

This journal entry is for every idealist and introvert who feels the intense New Year's resolution pressure but knows that changing the calendar doesn't automatically give us a "New Us." We're tackling the great "Fresh Start" lie and the painful sense of incongruence between external goals and our internal timing.

Dear soul, if you are acutely aware of the gap between the ideal world and what is actually real, you are not alone.

Healing, growth and personal transformation all happen on their own time. It does not happen with external pressure and deadlines. Our internal timing rarely aligns with the external expectations of society.

So, let’s shift our focus. The only resolution that truly matters is to continue to honor our own present state of being and continue to grow in self-love, self-trust and self-compassion.

Instead of external goals, we embrace internal goals and focus on the smallest steps:

    • Rest: A "goal of rest" to counter the intense psychic energy around us.
    • Patience: Nurture the seeds we've planted, trusting they will bloom in their own time—not when the external world says it's January.
    • Tiny Steps: Tend our inner garden by asking what’s one thing we can do today to love ourselves.

The Lightbearer's Library is a place for gentle cheerleading to live a life of courage, honesty, and beauty. If you're feeling this time is a challenge for you, you're not alone. I'm right here along with you. Please subscribe!

If you want to put this self-compassion into practice, I recommend watching: Setting boundaries is an act of love, not selfishness (https://youtu.be/RBdAXbrwQw4), where you’ll learn why protecting your energy is an act of profound self-love.

    Sending you many blessings.

  • Setting boundaries is generous, not selfish
    Jan 2 2026

Setting healthy boundaries can feel selfish, but what if we could rewrite the script?

In this journal entry, we explore how to reframe boundary setting as a generous act of love for oneself and one's relations.

Some of the things I talk about are:

    - The emotional cost of saying 'yes' when you want to say 'no.'
    - The high cost of not setting boundaries, which can lead to resentment and the loss of self-trust.
    - How to redefine boundaries so we can show up as our best, most patient, and present selves for friends and family. (It all starts with filling our own cups first!)
    - The first step we need to take on the path to setting long-lasting, healthy boundaries.

This video is that foundational first step! If you're ready to overcome the fear of rejection and conflict that can arise when considering boundaries setting, make sure to subscribe so you don't miss the next video in this series.
