  • Irish Perspective on Israel-Palestinian War: Exclusive Interview with Dr. Tomás Mac Conmara & Ms. Eimear Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh.

Dr. Mac Conmara is an oral historian and lecturer at University College Cork

(UCC) in Ireland. He has received numerous awards, including recognition from Ireland’s President. In the United States, he lectured at the Milwaukee Irish Festival and was a Fellow at the University of Massachusetts. He has visited the West Bank and has met with the Palestinians and students from the University of Jerusalem.

Ms. Mhaoldomhnaigh is a microbiologist at UCC. She has volunteered in Bethlehem and traveled around the West Bank visiting refugee camps. During her time there, she met with different organisations and groups, working in different areas, such as women’s advocacy groups, BDS, journalism, and law.

Bill asks Tomás and Eimear about how the Irish people and government are approaching the current war.

They discuss a wide range of topics, including the resignation of the Taoiseach, the Biden administration, the Troubles, Starbucks, Charles Stewart Parnell, the Origins of boycotts, settlements, and the path forward for the Palestinian people. How did they fit all of that into one podcast?
