Tiffany Flores is a Colorado native with a B.A. in Behavioral Science from Metropolitan State University. She has built a career rooted in service and community impact, with professional experience as an elementary school teacher, a social worker supporting individuals with disabilities, and the owner of a residential and commercial cleaning company.

Tiffany currently serves as the Community Engagement Specialist for Jefferson Academy Charter Schools, where she supports the organization across multiple campuses. Her multifaceted role includes serving as a liaison to the Board of Directors; leading marketing, advertising, sponsorships, donor relations, events, and networking efforts; and helping families access critical resources during challenging times. Through partnerships with organizations such as A Precious Child, T-Mobile Hotspots, and Mountainview Church, Tiffany works to strengthen support systems for students and families throughout the community.

Deeply committed to service, Tiffany is actively involved in her community, volunteering with organizations such as the Polka Dot Powerhouse Westminster Chapter and participating in her church choir.

She is a proud mom to three sons—Billy (22), Nolan (20), and Jack (13)—and a newlywed to her husband, Steven. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys reading, attending theatre and comedy shows, dancing, and singing.

John Capra is President of Tailwinds of Hope a local Non-Profit that provides scholarships that support the dreams of hard-working, compassionate, and goal oriented young students. The foundation currently provides seven scholarships totaling $27,000 a year.

John comes with 27 years of corporate business working for Pepsi Bottling. John started his career in Sales and moved into warehouse operations and concluded his career as a Supply Planner. After retirement John focused his attention on Tailwinds of Hope. Tailwinds of Hope started with one scholarship and has grown with seven scholarships supporting students. John puts on a local annual golf tournament that attracts over two hundred golfers and is the main fundraiser for the foundation.

Tailwinds of Hope Non-Profit was created to honor the memory of Zachary Capra, a future commercial airline pilot. Zachary was killed April 4, 2018, when the small engine plane he was flying crashed just after takeoff in Daytona Beach, Florida while he was conducting his final check ride to obtain his commercial pilot’s license. On that clear morning, just shortly after takeoff, the left wing separated from the aircraft and crashed in an open field. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) examiner John Azma also perished in this crash.

John grew up in Westminster and attended Westminster Public Schools, Metz Elementary, Clear Lake Junior High School and Iver C Ranum High School. John also worked for the City of Westminster in the Parks Department for six years. Since John has been part of this community for 60 years, his passion shows and believes it is his obligation to give back to his community.

Ken McKenzie, owner of Premier Physical Therapy, brings over 25 years of experience to the field of rehabilitation. A 1995 graduate of Florida State University and former All-American tennis player, he earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 1997 and his Doctorate in 2007. Ken has owned and operated clinics in Louisiana and Colorado, proudly serving the Westminster community for the past decade. He has two adult children, Cameron and Connor, who live in Florida and Colorado. Outside of work, Ken enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and camping with his wife, Michelle.

Michelle McKenzie was born in Louisiana, raised in San Antonio, and graduated from Florida State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After marrying Ken and moving throughout the South, the couple relocated to Colorado in 2014 and opened Premier Physical Therapy the following year. Michelle left nursing to help run the business and loves the family atmosphere that has developed over the years. With their children now grown, Michelle and Ken welcomed a mini Bernedoodle named Henry to the family. She enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, scuba diving, and listening to her favorite band, The Avett Brothers.

As part of a service project, I helped other students like me get out of credit card debt before they graduated.
