Discount hairdresser has reservations about judging the competition, and does something drastic to get out of it.

Previously on Christine Lahti in Space: In this Backdoor Pilot, Space Nurse is devastated to discover she has been ranked 482 out of 483 Space Nurses in all of Space, thanks to Mo’Nique sneaking back in to mess up her precious chart record, so she leaves Space Hospital and travels to Earth where she bunks with no-nonsense vet Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Dr Lahti’s own beloved Crested Gecko Sunset. Together this unlikely trio band together to solve crime, though often unsuccessfully, and when that doesn’t work they give being a throuple a go, with sexy consequences. Meanwhile, Dr Christine Lahti sends well wishes. Also starring Katherine Helmond as Ruth, their Fed Up Neighbour and Landlord, who has a dark secret, though the writers haven’t quite figured out what it is yet. Editors Note: Nurse 482 has not been picked up and Space Nurse will return to Space Hospital next week. Her original chart record has been reinstated.

Meanwhile Identical Twins Debris and Debra are brought in to Emergency after a horrific space mugging - only one of them was injured, but due to a rare genetic anomaly these twins share everything - including wounds and memories - but only the injured one can be treated. Can Space Nurse figure out which twin needs stitches before both their brains spill onto the freshly mopped floor? Also, Discount Hairdresser (Special Guest Star Heather Locklear) considers upping her prices.

Previously on Christine Lahti in Space: When Dr Christine Lahti forgets to compliment her bangs, Lunch Lady Lorraine (Special Guest Star Wynonna Judd) puts a curse on her, restricting her to perform surgery with only her feet and elbows, though not at the same time. After a huge fight and/or breakup, Special Guest Star Heather Locklear is furious when Pencil (Daphne Zuniga) brings her new girlfriend Mo’nique to work - Mo’Nique is not a character, but the actual comedian Mo’Nique, who takes it upon herself to change patients charts to diseases she finds more hilarious, ruining Space Nurse’s spotless chart record. Meanwhile The Boss prepares for a date and can’t find her lucky blazer, so she enlists the help of Dr Christine Lahti’s Door (Lisa Kudrow) who may or may not have been eyeing it off behind her back.
