  • RED-S and Low Energy Availability
    Oct 7 2026

With the Marine Corps Marathon just around the corner, it's time to lock in. What does that mean? It means I need to be practicing what I will be doing on race day from what I wear to what I eat.

We've talked about nutrition on the show before, but now it's time to highlight what happens when we DON'T fuel our bodies as active individuals.

Anyck Besso is a registered dietician and is on the podcast to tell us all about Relative Energy Deficiency in Sports (aka RED-S) and Low Energy Availability (LEA). It's an increasingly hot topic of conversation in the athletic world and deserves a closer look.

  • The Marine Corps Marathon
    Sep 23 2026

It's hard to believe, but I'll be running my first ever marathon in just about a month.

Along the way, I've been able to talk with some really facinating individuals in ther unnning community. I'm not done yet, but with a month to go, I thought it would be fitting to release this very special episode of the podcast with Colonel Colgate, who is the mastermind behind this year's race.

A runner and Marine herself, Colonel Colgate shares a bit about her history with running as well as some teasers for what is considered to be one of the best marathons for beginners.

  • The Quarter Century Club
    Aug 26 2026

Less than 1% of the world's population will ever run and complete a marathon in their lifetime. Even fewer will qualify and participate in the iconic Boston Marathon. EVEN fewer will make it to the Quarter Century Club, a group of around 120 individuals who have completed the Boston Marathon AT LEAST 25 times consecutively.

Our guest, Keith Shields is one of those remarkable few who made it to the 1% of the 1%.

  • Learning to Run Again
    Aug 19 2026

Life is like a box of chocolates they say...

You get curveballs, injuries, roadblocks, and illnesses. More often than not we are forced to take what comes and adapt.

Angeleaza Anderson did just that after being benched from her fast-paced running life because of an illness. Due to the toll it took on her heart, she literally had to teach herself how to run again. Yes, she had to slow down, but along the way, she learned that sometimes taking it down a notch leads to you exceling for longer down the road.
