His research is advancing our understanding of the Moon's resources and the technologies needed to support humanity's return to deep space.

Throughout his career, he has received numerous honors, including six NASA Achievement Awards, the NASA-SSERVI Shoemaker Award, and recognition as a Pegasus Professor at the University of Central Florida.
