  • Ep. 16 The Art of Belonging
    Oct 21 2026

You can belong to a book club, a gym and a fantasy football chat, and still feel like you don’t belong anywhere.

In Episode 16, Hayley explores the art of belonging to yourself. In a world with no village church and no central meeting place, how do we find our people? She starts with the one place belonging begins: the inside.

What does it take to feel at home with yourself? Hayley looks at what being an outsider can teach us, how to use our 20's as the bumper barriers in our 30's & 40's, and why showing up as you are, even running on empty, can be enough. Plus: people-pleasing, hard goodbyes and the power of saying it out loud.

    You’ll hear:

    • Why belonging to yourself comes before belonging to a group
    • How to (safely) show up without a mask
    • The real cost of people-pleasing
    • A gentle set of questions to ask yourself this week

  • Ep. 15 Navigating Transitions & Grief through the seasons
    Oct 14 2026

n Episode 15, Hayley talks about the season of transitions: how fall, and the quiet of a Canadian winter, can act as a guide for the big changes happening in our own lives. She looks at why we rush through hard feelings, what happens when we turn away from them, and how curiosity can take the place of control.

    In this episode:

    • Why the “sacred pause” between the fall of something and the new growth matters
    • What happens when we distract ourselves and the feelings are still there afterwards
    • Grief in transitions, including the ones nobody sends a card for
    • A simple letting-go ritual: writing it down and releasing it (safely)
    • How the seasons look in Australia and Canada, and what that shows about our own seasons of self

  • Ep. 7 Gate Theory making me a better person
    Aug 19 2026

Episode 7! This is where you see my nerdy side. For the love of all things anatomy; yet another facet where 'being human' and science meet.

I do love a theory, I love it even more when it makes sense and has practical application. Gate theory can be seen innately in how we respond to something as mundane as stubbing your toe. It can be practiced in so many areas of life, from giving birth to pain management (big or small) across both the physiological and emotional responses. Aren't human's amazing? Even more so when we know what works for us.

I hope this episode inspires you, motivates you, provides a nudge, or gets you curious about what your manual might look like and begin to experiment with what tools to include if you haven't already.

Glad to have you along and look forward to sharing the Embers of experience together through the Echos of time and space!

  • Ep. 8 Motivation - Understanding why you (& they) just don't wanna
    Aug 26 2026

Episode 8! In a continuation of nerding out on some science theory, this week we take a look at the TTM (Transtheoratical Model) of Stages of Motivational Change. By understanding where you may sit in any given situation, it might help open some doors or windows into why and what you actually want to do about it (if anything).

We build a bit more on last week's gate theory and ponder with gentle curiosity. The TTM might begin to show itself in different ways as you move through life now you know about it. From family members to colleagues, to signing up for a new subscription or booking an appointment. Where are you and where might they be in this motivational process? Is this an opportunity to save some of that life energy or is this going to light you up?! A conversation that simply gives more choices via reflection.

I hope this episode inspires you, motivates you, provides a nudge, or gets you curious about what your manual might look like and begin to experiment with what tools to include if you haven't already.
