Sintesi dell'editore
You are going to die.
It's no surprise.
But our society has such a harmful relationship with the inevitable experience of dying!
Many dark connotations and feelings, such as grief, anxiety, deep pain, and fear, surround death. Why are we so avoidant of accepting something that is so undeniably a part of life?? Every living being experiences death, yet we spend most of our time pretending this isn't true.
What would happen if we changed the narrative and allowed ourselves to view death as a necessary transitioning of the spirit from physical reality?
What about reminding ourselves that we will die to remember to live fully while we have the opportunity?
What if we started having more conversations about death in order to adapt our awareness into a more accepting and peaceful one instead of something so dark and filled with fear?
After experiencing the death of her childhood dog, Rain felt called to start the conversation about death and how she thinks about it. In this episode, she talks about her relationship with death, how we can accept the end of others with more peace instead of just pain, and how to shift our mindsets from fear of the inevitable to awareness of the journey.
We have the power to shift our awareness to allow death to embody more light. Some cultures have been doing it for ages; maybe it's time for us to do the same. Death is inevitable. Let us stop fearing the inevitable.
Thank you for showing up for such a complex topic to converse about.
Love to you all.
Keep on living every moment you have to live.
Life is impermanent, which makes it that much more sacred.
xoxo
