My guest is Kurt Grace Community Builder & Men’s Group leader. I attended a mens event called the Grail in Austin, Texas that Kurt was organizing. I was a part of the support team and through this process got to know Kurt. A few years before I initially met Kurt at this same event when we were both participants. Kurt has an almost magical way of connecting with each man and establishing trust. I was very impressed to watch his interactions with the men during the event. You will hear Kurt’s honesty and energy throughout this interview and at points he gets a bit hard on himself because he so values honesty with himself first. I admire Kurt for keeping the conversation real and presenting his experience in the raw way he feels it. There is a certain way that Kurt reminds me to move past my own fear or awkwardness toward connection.

This is a very special interview and marks the return of my guest Chris Grady. This is unique because Chris agreed to come on the podcast and discuss his recent visit to Ukraine. We discuss how his visit came about and what it meant for him to face the risk of entering a foreign city engaged in an active war. Chris describes what he set out to accomplish and his impressions of the theater arts experience in Ukraine. I am grateful to Chris for sharing his take on what he experienced. It is amazing to consider the Ukrainian people’s commitment to art, theater, expression and the freedom they are fighting for, and it is important to consider our own expression and freedom wherever we are in the world.

I’m thrilled to have POET TIM XONNELLY join us! Tim’s just released a wonderful book of poetry called THE INVASION OF PANTOMIME. I’d say Tim is deeply connected to poetry. The conversation really took off when Tim talked about his connection to dreams and dreaming. Reading his book, it’s clear how much he values his dreams and how open he is to learning from them. I was also impressed by Tim’s genuine acceptance of what poetry does for him. He compares poetry readings to comedy shows, saying that in poetry, it’s perfectly okay to tackle heavy topics without trying to lighten the mood. That really shows how much respect Tim has for poetry. You’ll hear some of Tim’s pieces during our discussion, and I hope you’ll feel inspired to try your hand at writing your own poetry. I often feel inspired to be creative when I hear artistic expressions.

From the very first moment, Christine Blosdale captured my attention! As I’ve been hosting this podcast for five years, I’ve received many requests from potential guests to be interviewed.
