• Why Franchise Owners Sabotage Their Success (And How to Stop) | Dan Spellman
    Nov 4 2026

Ever have a record-breaking month in your franchise business, only to watch your momentum disappear?

    Dan Spellman did.

After joining The Zee Suite®, Dan began experiencing record months in his franchise. He found his groove, felt the momentum, and enjoyed the results.

Then he stopped doing the daily mindset work that helped him get there.

And for the next couple of months, his momentum slipped.

In this Daly Double, Dan and Kim Daly explore the upper limit problem the idea that we each have an internal thermostat for the level of success, money, and achievement we feel comfortable sustaining.

What happens when your business results exceed the identity you've conditioned yourself to believe is possible?

Can you create a $100K month through effort but struggle to sustain it because you haven't yet become comfortable seeing yourself as a $100K/month business owner?

Kim shares how, in her ninth year as a franchise consultant, she began telling herself every day that she was a million-dollar consultant long before her bank account reflected that belief. That identity work changed how she showed up, the confidence she carried, and the actions she took.

We also discuss why personal development is a DALY discipline, how to recognize when you've fallen out of alignment, and how to get back on track without starting over.

And when Dan shares his dream of buying a home in 2027, Kim gives him a new visualization challenge to help him begin living that dream in his imagination today.

    What You'll Hear

    • Why franchise owners sometimes lose momentum after record months
    • The upper limit problem and your internal success thermostat
    • How your money identity can influence your business results
    • Why mindset work is a daily discipline—not a one-time breakthrough
    • How Kim developed her million-dollar consultant identity
    • Why sustainable success requires more than bursts of effort
    • How to recognize self-sabotage and return to alignment
    • Dan's 2027 dream home visualization challenge

The goal isn't just one extraordinary month. It's predictable, controllable, sustainable revenue and becoming the person who can consistently create it.

We're all human. We all experience setbacks. But as we become more aware of our thinking and internal alignment, we can learn to recognize those setbacks sooner and return to the habits that support our success.

That's the work we do inside The Zee Suite®.

  • He Lost His Home Then Chose Franchise Ownership to Rebuild His Life | Matt Dorband
    Oct 28 2026

What happens when life takes away everything you thought was secure and gives you an opportunity to rebuild on your own terms?

In January 2025, Matt Dorband and his wife lost their home and nearly everything they owned in the devastating Palisades fire in California.

That loss forced them to reevaluate what really mattered.

Matt was working in financial services, in a job he hated, handling difficult client conversations every day and questioning the future of the company he worked for.

Being forced to change gave Matt the courage to choose change and rebuild his life on his own terms.

That's when Matt discovered franchise consultant Kim Daly through YouTube at KimDaly.tv.

Together, they explored franchise ownership opportunities that aligned with his priorities: geographic flexibility, a manageable investment during an uncertain financial time, and the ability to leverage his consultative B2B sales experience.

Matt didn't immediately recognize The ERA Group as his ideal franchise. But through the franchise discovery process, comparing multiple business models and meeting different franchisors, the right opportunity became clear.

  • How to Avoid Struggling in Your First Year of Franchise Ownership | Brittany Tryon
    Oct 21 2026

What if you could prepare yourself for the challenges of franchise ownership BEFORE you ever opened your doors?

Brittany Tryon is an Air Force veteran, athlete, and first-time franchise owner who left a career she wasn't passionate about to pursue more freedom, purpose, and control through Alloy Personal Training.

While exploring franchise opportunities with Kim Daly, Brittany discovered something unexpected: Choosing the right franchise is only part of the equation. Developing yourself as the business owner is just as important.

That's why Brittany became the first franchisee to join The Zee Suite® BEFORE opening her business.

Now that her Alloy Personal Training location is open, she's facing the challenges every new business owner must navigate. But instead of letting temporary setbacks shake her confidence, she's applying months of personal development, leaning on her community, and maintaining belief in herself, her team, and her future.

She's even sharing what she's learning with her manager and her brother, who owns a business of his own.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • Brittany's journey from the Air Force to franchise ownership
    • Why she chose Alloy Personal Training
    • The challenges of being a first-time franchise owner
    • Why she invested in personal development before opening
    • How to maintain confidence when business results aren't meeting expectations
    • Why two franchisees following the same system can experience different results
    • How The Zee Suite® is influencing her leadership and life

Anyone can feel successful when business is good. The real test is who you become when business challenges your expectations.

Franchisors provide the system, training, and support. But how you think, respond, lead, and make decisions determines how effectively you use those tools.

That's the missing link we develop inside The Zee Suite®.

  • The Strangest Secret That Helped Her Manifest “Impossible” Goals | Trisha Evans Bertelson
    Oct 14 2026

What if the goals you’ve given up on weren’t impossible and you simply stopped believing they could happen?

When I started The Zee Suite®, Trisha Evans Bertelson was in career transition and became one of my original eight students. One of the first things we studied was Earl Nightingale’s The Strangest Secret and the simple goal-card exercise I had practiced for years.

    Trisha took it seriously.

She wrote down goals that seemed almost impossible. She read them morning and night, recorded herself saying them, and listened before she went to sleep.

Over the next year, four of those seemingly impossible goals began becoming her reality.

She landed a VP role in franchise development within six months. She found a way to create more meaningful experiences with her family without waiting for “more time.” And an unexpected connection between her new career and her health helped her sustainably lose 30 pounds.

In this conversation, we talk about why so many people roll their eyes at goal setting, why the goal card itself isn't the magic, and why we often give up on our desires simply because we can't see HOW they could possibly happen.

We also talk about the one goal Trisha hasn't achieved yet, why “not yet” doesn't mean “never,” and my own dream at 15 of becoming a person of influence a dream I didn't fully understand until decades later.

And because Trisha now works in franchise development, we explore why personal development matters for the people inside the franchise industry, too. As we become better versions of ourselves, we have more to give the candidates, franchisees and people we serve.

    What You’ll Hear:

    • Why people stop believing in goals
    • The Strangest Secret goal-card exercise
    • Trisha’s four seemingly impossible goals
    • Why you don't need to know HOW before deciding what you want
    • Why timing doesn't determine whether a dream is possible
    • How personal development impacts the way we serve others
    • Why Trisha believes this work belongs inside the franchise industry

  • How to Double the Financial Result of Your Franchise in the Next 12 Months
    Oct 7 2026

Are you stuck looking at franchise earnings claims, wondering if the numbers are really possible or whether you'll ever make the kind of money you want?

In this episode of Create Wealth Through Franchising, Kim Daly breaks down exactly what she did to go from $250K/year (for 8 straight years) to over $1,000,000 in just 12 months, a 350% increase, and how you can apply the same principles to your own franchise or future business.

Drawing on wisdom from Wallace D. Wattles' The Science of Getting Rich, Kim reveals why most franchisees get stuck blaming their franchisor, the territory, the economy, or the marketing and why the real key to exponential growth is something you already control: your vision, your clarity, and your daily focus.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    - Why earnings claims are NOT the ceiling of what's possible in a franchise
    - How to suspend your logical mind and think from an "impossible" goal
    - The simple math behind doubling your revenue (it's easier than you think)
    - Why knowing your ideal customer avatar is the first step to explosive growth
    - How referral-based revenue beats marketing dependency every time
    - What "working by law" means and why it makes success a mathematical certainty
    - How Kim went from 8 years of flat revenue to 350% growth in a single year

Whether you haven't signed a franchise agreement yet or you're already a franchisee looking to break through a plateau, this episode hands you the keys to the kingdom.

  • 45 Days In, His Wife Noticed the Difference | Dave Warn’s Story
    Sep 30 2026

THE POWER OF A DAILY RESET

What can change in just 45 days when you learn how to reset your thoughts, energy and perspective?

For Dave Warn, the answer became obvious when his wife noticed the difference.

After 17 years in franchising, Dave knows what it feels like to carry a demanding schedule. Long days. A packed calendar. Constant responsibility. And like so many business owners and leaders, it can be easy to carry all of that home with you.

But just 45 days into The Zee Suite®, Dave says he feels calmer, more centered and better able to leave work at work.

One tool that's become part of his daily routine is the Daly Reset, which he uses every day and sometimes two or three times a day.

In this conversation, Dave shares a simple shift that says everything.

He used to wake up, look at a grueling calendar and think, “Ugh.”

Now he can look at that same calendar and think, “What a blessing.”

Same calendar. Different thought. Different energy. Different experience.

We talk about thoughts becoming things, finding calm in the crazy, and the idea from The Strangest Secret that your mind is like a garden. What are you planting every day?

Because whether you're a franchisee, franchisor, consultant or business leader, you bring your thoughts and energy into every conversation, decision and action you take.

Sometimes you don't need your circumstances to change.

You need a way to reset how you're showing up inside them.

45 days in, Dave's wife noticed the difference. Dave feels it too.

    WHAT YOU’LL HEAR

  • Struggling Franchise Owner? What You Do Next Changes Everything | David Lemaire
    Sep 23 2026

What do you do when your franchise is struggling, money is getting tight, and the business you were once excited about starts filling you with fear?

Anyone can feel confident when business is booming.

But what do successful business owners do when the clients aren't coming, expenses are mounting, and everything they can see seems to be telling them that their business isn't working?

That's the conversation I'm having with franchise owner David Lemaire.

David's journey to business ownership didn't begin in a boardroom.

As a child, David survived a near-death experience that profoundly shaped the way he sees life. Years later, while driving for Uber, he discovered something else that would change his direction: he loved helping seniors.

    One ride became another.

David began networking and building a reputation as the person seniors and their families could trust to help them get where they needed to go.

Eventually, he saw an opportunity to turn that heart for serving seniors into something bigger and invested in a HomeWell Care Services franchise.

But something changed when money, expectations and the pressure to make the business succeed entered the picture.

    The business became hard.

After approximately one year of franchise ownership, David had signed just five clients and was struggling.

That's when someone referred him to me.

After our first coaching conversation, David signed three new clients within 48 hours.

    Five in a year.

    Then three in two days.

    So what changed?

    The franchise didn't.

    His territory didn't suddenly change.

David began changing the way he was thinking, feeling and showing up in his business.

I encouraged him to read Earl Nightingale's The Strangest Secret, and he began seeing his business and his possibilities differently.

    Hope returned.

    Things started happening.

And then life got hard again.

David learned he was losing his lease. Financial pressure resurfaced. The excitement faded, and the familiar negative thoughts began creeping back in.

And THAT may be the most important part of David's story.

Because personal development isn't about learning how to think positively when everything is going your way.

The work matters most when your circumstances are giving you every reason to think negatively.

    Losing a lease can mean:

My business is failing. Everything is going wrong.

    Or it can mean:

An expense is being removed. What if this creates an opportunity to become more profitable?

    The circumstance hasn't changed.

The meaning you give it has.

And that meaning influences how you feel, what you see, the conversations you have, the opportunities you notice and ultimately what you do next.

This episode of Create Wealth Through Franchising isn't a polished success story with a neat ending.

    David is still in it.

And that's exactly why I wanted you to hear his story.

Because there are franchise owners listening right now who are in it too.

You're working hard. You're worried about money. You're questioning your territory, your franchise, yourself—or all three.

And your current results are making it increasingly difficult to believe that something better is possible.

Please don't make your biggest decisions from your smallest thinking.

David's story demonstrates how quickly something can begin to shift when a struggling business owner gains a different understanding of where results come from.

It also demonstrates why this work isn't a motivational speech, a book you read once or one powerful coaching conversation.

    It is a practice.

    And it's why community matters.

    When your current...

  • How to Turn Around a Struggling Franchise in 90 Days | Colleen Kraus-Mangel
    Sep 16 2026

How do you turn around a struggling franchise when you’re working hard, following the franchise system, and still losing money? What if the problem isn’t that you need another business strategy but that you need to change the way you’re showing up to the strategy you already have?

Earlier this year, Colleen Kraus-Mangel thought she might have to close the doors to her Assisted Living Locators franchise.

Before business ownership, Colleen had successful careers in HR and banking, but corporate life had become toxic. She worked with a franchise consultant, found Assisted Living Locators, and genuinely loved the business and believed in the work she was doing.

But for a year and a half, she struggled.

By the time I met her, the financial pressure had become so intense that she was sleeping less than two hours a night.

I knew I wanted to help her. She couldn’t afford to pay in full for The Zee Suite®, so I created a payment plan that allowed her to get started.

    Colleen joined June 1, 2026.

On June 25, just 24 days later she sent me a message referring to June 1 as:

“The magical day my life changed.”

And here’s what I want every struggling franchise owner to hear:

The first turnaround wasn’t financial. It was Colleen.

She was sleeping again. She had hope again. She felt calmer, more confident and more optimistic about her future.

And from that place, she continued doing many of the same things she had been doing before.

But the results began to look dramatically different.

Facilities that had been saying no started saying yes. Commissions unexpectedly increased. Payments began arriving on time or faster. Her average placement increased from approximately $2,000 to $5,000.

For months, Colleen had wondered whether the problem was her territory a fear many struggling franchise owners can relate to.

Same territory. Same franchise. Same process. Different Colleen. Different results.

And the changes weren’t limited to her franchise.

A piece of land that had been sitting with no activity for six months suddenly found a buyer. An unexpected large sum of money came into her life. People even began asking whether she had lost weight because she physically looked different.

She looked different because she was different.

In this episode of Create Wealth Through Franchising, I go deeper into the coaching behind Colleen’s transformation and why The Zee Suite® is about so much more than positive thinking.

We talk about what happens when a franchise owner moves out of fear, pressure and desperation and begins operating from confidence, clarity, expectation and possibility.

Colleen believes these changes are sustainable because she understands how she created them.

She isn’t working harder. In some ways, she may be working less. But when the business starts working, the money is flowing, and you’re enjoying your life again, everything feels different.

Colleen was already a great student of her franchise system.

Now she is becoming a great student of applying a confident mindset to that system and creating entirely new outcomes.

So where will she be in another 90 days? A year from now?

    Somewhere very, very good.

And if you’re a franchise owner who is working hard, following the system, but still struggling to create the profitability and life you expected from business ownership, Colleen’s story is for you.
