I'm happy to finally get to sit down with Amanda Hardy, frontperson of Seattle's own Bexley. In a sea of great bands in Seattle, Bexley stands out on the shoulders Amanda's powerful and dynamic vocals and the band's approach to production and crisp songwriting. Their new album, Dark Noise, will be out on August 18 with a record release show in Pioneer Square's Baba Yaga. See you there!

Our guest this episode is a Northwest legend, Mr Tommy Niemeyer of The Accused and later Gruntruck. One of the earliest bands in the crossover punk/metal movement, The Accused stood out from much of what was happening in Seattle in the 80s and were trailblazers for the scene. Our guest this episode is Robb Benson, singer/songwriter of just about a hundred bands over the years and most recently the dynamic Planets In The Ocean who just released The Loud Silence. Robb is one of the most rawly talented multi-instrumentalists I've ever played with and is a prolific writer/recordist, sometimes writing and self-recording entire albums-worth of songs in a week on his own. Formed in 1990 on the cusp of Seattle changing the popular musical landscape all around the world, the band released 2 albums albums during the peak grunge-era with the legendary line-up of Robert on guitar/vox, Hiro Yamamoto on bass (Soundgarden) and Mark Pickerel on drums (Screaming Trees). Truly is currently on the road, touring across the US celebrating "30 years of Fast Stories…from Kid Coma" and will be entering the studio to record a new album upon their return. Which, is exactly what the world needs right now if you ask me. If you see Truly coming to town anywhere near you, I highly recommend going and seeing this band.
