This month’s CLASSICAL VIBES is weaving a few threads together rather than a single theme. We are going to be focusing on the VOICE with a lovely selection of choral music, and we are also celebrating Black History month with a selection of music by black composers or performers. And then a few other pieces that seemed to fit perfectly in the gaps.

his September, CLASSICAL VIBES is meandering around the classical landscape with an eclectic and varied selection of music from Verdi, Gipps, Kachaturian, Rachmaninov, Delibes, Fauré and more. Featuring musical tributes to the late great Dolly Parton and legendary Tim Curry.

This August, CLASSICAL VIBES is á la France and celebrating French composers and music set in or about France as I am on a 3 week mini-tour of our wonderful neighbouring country. We will be touring the musical landscape of France and taking in the likes of Saint-Saens, Debussy, Farrenc, Berlioz, Bizet, Faure and more!

Don’t worry, I will still be speaking in English!

This month, CLASSICAL VIBES is going down to the seaside with a theme connected to the sea, water, rain and all types of water from the deep sea to the sky above. Maybe it will help cool us all down? 🌊🌧️🌈🏝️

Classical Vibes: Bringing you AWESOME Classical Music.

This month, CLASSICAL VIBES is taking a lid back approach and spinning a random selection of music to soothe your listening ears. We will be hearing everything from a classical cover of a classic pop song, film music, symphonies, overtures and sonatas, with composers from all over.

This month, CLASSICAL VIBES is heading down into the Lair with DJ Fox to do a special Spectrums of Classical Jazz Vibes show a.k.a. JAZZICAL VIBES!

We are doing an extra long 3-hour deep dive into the liminal space where classical music and jazz collide.

Jazz is all about improvisation so who really who knows where the show will go! What’s certain is that there will be epic rhythms, deft handwork and a sprinkling of mayhem.

CLASSICAL VIBES is featuring all kinds of ANIMALS.

We will feature bats, sheep, trout, swans, elephants, wolves, dogs and cats, mice, ant, grasshopper, skylarks and two horses!

Classical Vibes: Bringing you AWESOME Classical Music.

It’s my two year CLASSICAL VIBESIVERSARY today!

In a slight change to the original plan, today’s show will be celebrating awesome women composers. Breaking through the male-dominated world of classical music we discover the unsung heroines of classical music. Frome Hildegard von Bingen to Florence Price and Debbie Wiseman, we are making a space for female composers to flourish.

And for those who were looking forward to Spectrums of Classical Jazz Vibes in collaboration with DJ Fox, it will be coming up in May instead.
