    This may be the most productive lesson in this course.Jesus regularly invaded different oikoses, or extended households, including those of Matthew, Zaccheus, a Pharisee, where his feet were washed by an apparently disreputable woman. He engaged Peter’s household and that of an unnamed ruler whose daughter he restored. It was in one such oikos that he healed a man after first forgiving his sins upon the occasion of the man’s friends tearing a hole in the roof to gain access to Jesus. Early in Acts, we find the church meeting in homes, and later verses describe these believers meeting in each other’s homes. Saul knew enough of this to go from oikos to oikos as he sought to destroy the church. It appears that if he were able to penetrate one oikos, he would be able to follow the pathways of relationships to discover who else to target. In this session, we'll take lessons from scripture, enabling us to abandon our "come to church" strategy for one where we take Jesus into people groups around us.     • One from "small groups" to internal microchurches.
    • The second is from internal microchurches to external microsites (reflecting the hub).
    • The third moves from a micro-multisite model to actual church multiplication. You'll learn to identify small groups as small churches.
    • Then shift (some) communion, baptism, funeral, wedding, and baby dedication responsibilities to your internal microchurches.
    • Build, and maintain a network of autonomous and semi-autonomous (the leader remains in the sending congregation) external microsites and microchurches.
