We found out we’re both Autistic and ADHD. Finally, decades of our lives make sense.

But we’re still burning out. Still masking. Still watching “simple” tasks defeat us while everyone else seems fine.

Because the key we found didn’t unlock a fix. It unlocked a remembering.

This brain isn’t flawed—it’s ancestral. You don’t need to change yourself, you just need to change your world.

I’m Adria Sophia Melichar, an AuDHD coach who’s spent over a decade guiding hundreds who don’t fit the mold to find their own way forward.

This podcast weaves lived experience, practical ecosystem design and ancestral grounding. Wisdom for reshaping your home, your work, your relationships—and building the roots that steady the chaos.

New episodes on Thursdays.

  • 43. Called It. Nobody Wanted to Hear It.
    Oct 8 2026

You foresee the shift before anyone else does — in a room that's about to get too loud, in a text that reads a little off, in a plan that's already unraveling in your head. And when you say what you see? You get called anxious.

Here's what I think it actually is: an old kind of knowing, rooted in our AuDHD discernment. Our way-back grandmothers would have been the village future-tellers. We still have that same wiring. What we don't have anymore is a village that listens.

So the knowing doesn't disappear. It just stops having anywhere to go — and that's when it starts to spiral.

    In this episode:

    • What happened when I tried to warn my HOA about something I could see coming (and got shut down)
    • The difference between an anxious spiral and a real hit — and how to tell them apart
    • What "Autistic Dread" actually is (and why it's not catastrophizing)
    • A client's pre-party spiral — and the one shift that let her use her foreseeing on purpose
    • What to do when you see something clearly and it isn't yours to fix

  • 42. Wait, I Was Right the Whole Time?
    Oct 1 2026

We finally identified ourselves — ADHD…Autistic…then both. But after the initial relief, we feel stuck: we can see exactly how our lives don’t fit us, but our needs feel too specific, too narrow, to know what would. An impossible riddle.

The thing we suppressed to survive is the exact thing that solves it. We've been called drama queens, hypochondriacs, difficult, worrywarts — for noticing what nobody else named, and saying it out loud. So we learned to stop trusting it, to see it as weakness instead of what it actually was: our discernment, the precise, fast read that's part of our AuDHD lineage.

Reconnecting to it isn't self-care. It's what keeps us out of the burnout cycle.

    In this episode:

    • The exact mechanism behind the "instant knowing" — what Autism and ADHD each bring to it, and why together they're something else entirely
    • What happened when I tried letting AI take over my coaching sessions for a day
    • A client couldn't relax in her new home — until one small story helped her find her own answer
    • Why a blank page stalls you out completely, but three bad options don't
    • The moment I quit my contract role — and why it wasn't actually instant at all

  • 41. Seen Wrong
    Sep 24 2026

Ever had someone read you completely wrong — and watched that decide how they treated you?

It starts young (a classroom, a label, a story told about you instead of understood). It shows up in jobs, in relationships, in the moment you finally try to set a boundary and get met with "that seems unreasonable."

Turns out masking isn't really about hiding. It's what happens after you've been seen wrong one too many times — and started performing the version of you that might get seen right.

    In this episode:

    • Why a first-grade classroom shift gave me a clue decades later
    • The real reason a "reasonable" ask can leave your body in knots
    • What witches, mad women, and AuDHD brains actually have in common
    • Why masking might not be about hiding at all
    • What "being seen right" might actually feel like
