This episode features one of my favorite producers in electronic music, Akuratyde, whose distinctive sound has left a lasting mark on Drum & Bass and beyond through releases on Blu Mar Ten Music, Fokuz Recordings, Soulvent, Microfunk Music, and his own label, Modern Conveniences.

His latest album, Inviting Chaos on Microfunk Music, was one of my favorite releases of 2025, and a new remix album is set to arrive on his label in early May.

In our conversation, we explore his musical influences and inspirations, the evolution of his sound, and the challenges of balancing family life with a career in music. We also discuss the creative process behind his recent work and much more.

Natus returns to the podcast for the third time to discuss our new Ascension EP on Fokuz Recordings, our forthcoming tunes on the 10 Years of Goldfat compilation, plus our upcoming gigs in Croydon and Nottingham next month!

Interstellar Audio bossman Cellar joins us for Episode 12 of the Alpha Rhythm and Friends podcast where we discuss the challenges and blessings of starting a modern-day Drum and Bass label. You can find tickets to my upcoming IA gig at: https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Nottingham/The-Chapel%2C-The-Angel-Microbrewery/Interstellar-Audio-Transmissions---Alpha-Rhythm-Invites/41312370/

On this episode we are joined by our first ever MC and it is the one and only T.R.A.C. This Brooklyn born MC is arguably the biggest name in the US DnB scene and has performed with nearly every single icon of DnB including Calibre, LSB, BCee, Serum, and Bladerunner, just to name a few. Last year not only did I have the honor of getting to perform with T.R.A.C. live during Villem’s tour, but we also did a collab with pyxis which is releasing July 4th as a part of the 20 years of Spearhead compilation.

Natus returns to the podcast to discuss his brand-new EP, Sin of the Watchers, which is out now on Galacy. We also discuss topics ranging from gaming to coffee and have a very special guest appearance from the Kitty Rhythm.

This week we have the great pleasure of welcoming back Drew Villem to the podcast. Villem is currently touring (and visiting) the USA for the first time, and I will be joining him for his first two shows on the tour. On this episode we sit down to discuss his plans for the tour, his expectations of the USA, and our plans as we prepare to meet in person for the first time.

I am so excited to have the extremely talented Gemma Rose on this episode of the Alpha Rhythm & Friends podcast! As many of you know, Gemma and I have already released multiple collaborations together, and she has done some absolutely amazing work with artists such as Nelver, Sub:liminal, Rezilient, Henry, External Subway, and more. She was just nominated for "Best Vocalist" in the Drum and Bass Arena awards, and just dropped an incredible new release with Philth on Carnelian. Furthermore, Gemma will also be featured on my debut album dropping this February on two piece vinyl on Fokuz Recordings. With such an impressive and ever-growing collection of releases, Gemma is definitely one to keep an eye on in 2023 and beyond!

Conor Hynes, aka Aleyum, is an Irish Ambient and Drum & Bass artist living in California whose releases can be found on Monstercat, Celsius, Fokuz, Silk Music, Lemongrass Music and Soul Deep Recordings, and Offword Recordings. He recently released a remix of my tune with Ritual, "Downcast", and has an upcoming EP on Celsius, and well as a new collaboration on Headsbass Volume 12.

With such an impressive and ever-growing catalogue of releases, Aleyum is definitely an artist to watch in 2023 and beyond!
