Five and a half years after his last solo studio album, we finally have a BRAND NEW Paul McCartney record! To mark this historic occasion—and celebrate the 300th episode of 2Legs—Andy and Tom are proud to present our in-depth review of Paul's latest release, THE BOYS OF DUNGEON LANE released on 29th May 2026.

Rather than rush out a "first listen" reaction, we wanted to spend a few days living with the album, absorbing the songs, studying the lyrics, and getting to know the record before sharing our thoughts. We felt an album this significant deserved that time and attention. The verdict? We absolutely love it. For us, "THE BOYS OF DUNGEON LANE stands comfortably alongside some of Paul's finest post-Beatles work, including TUG OF WAR, FLAMING PIE and BAND ON THE RUN.

It's a rich, rewarding listen that continues to reveal new layers with every spin. We know many of our loyal subscribers have been patiently waiting for our review, and we wanted to make sure we got it right. We hope you enjoy our discussion, presented with accompanying images and audio throughout.

Now it's your turn: What do you think of The Boys of Dungeon Lane? Masterpiece? Instant classic? Or simply another entry in Paul's incredible catalogue?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments below—we can't wait to hear them. It's 2026, and Paul McCartney has just released a brand-new album. What an extraordinary gift for fans after all these years.

We hope this album brings you as much joy, excitement, and inspiration as it has brought us. P

eace, Andy & Tom 2Legs: A Paul McCartney Podcast 🎸✌️

Andy and Tom originally recorded this shortly after watching the Man On The Run documentary back in February, as it sparked some really interesting conversation among fans. One topic that has always fascinated us is Paul’s infamous “It’s A Drag” comment regarding the tragic death of John Lennon — a quote that, in our opinion, has been widely misunderstood for decades. After seeing the documentary, and especially hearing Sean Lennon’s thoughtful understanding of the moment, we felt it was worth revisiting the subject in a deeper way. Add in the differences between British and American colloquialisms, and it’s easy to see how Paul’s words were interpreted very differently than intended.

Either way… you knew we were going to defend our guy here. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Greetings, excited Macca fans! Andy and Tom have just returned from an unforgettable trip to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, where they attended the grand opening of the brand-new WINGS exhibit, beautifully curated by Andy Leach.

It was fantastic catching up with members of our amazing 2Legs Family and exploring everything this incredible exhibit has to offer.

Be sure to check out Andy’s video for highlights from the weekend! Andy extended his stay and was lucky enough to attend a special presentation and intimate mini-concert featuring Laurence Juber and Steve Holley on Saturday. Despite their relatively short time in WINGS, both remain incredibly loyal and passionate supporters of Paul McCartney and his music.

Andy, Heidi, and Joan even had the chance to meet them following the event! After an action-packed day, we rushed back to our hotels just in time to catch Paul’s appearance on Saturday Night Live! While we expected “Days,” we were genuinely surprised that no Beatles songs made the broadcast setlist. We absolutely loved the performance. Were there a few rough edges? Maybe. But honestly… it’s PAUL McCARTNEY.

Watching a living legend still out there performing is always something special. Paul deserves to be celebrated. What about you? Are you planning a trip to the Hall this summer? What did you think of the SNL performance?

Andy's HOF Reel

As we take a break this week from any DUNGEON LANE News and give Ringo some airtime, Andy and Tom were afforded the opportunity to review the recent BBC Documentary "The Hunt For The Lost Bass". We give our thoughts and opinions on this cute story and it's principal players including Paul, Klaus Voorman, Nick Wass, Scott and Naomi Jones who started the search for the bass with #TraceTheBass ultimately leading to its discovery at the end of 2022. Although not an MPL production Paul and his team obviously have given their approval for this film and we enjoyed it for what it was. If you've had an opportunity to see it, let us know!

And which "bass" do you prefer? The 1961 or 1963 one?

Or Another?

See you next time! A
