  • “There’s a time in your life where pressure can serve as a motivator…until it stops being a force for good and starts becoming a source of evil.”

By constantly putting pressure on ourselves we create this space where we lose all our power.

Things that work for us may not work for us in every season of our lives and it’s important for us to recognize and be willing to shift our approach to honor these changes.

We need to be realistic. We need to recognize our patterns. We need to be more accepting and loving of ourselves. We need to do these things so that we can work with that energy and be more successful, more profitable, more productive –all the things we work so hard for.

To be healthy. To be happy. To enjoy life.

There are healthy ways to apply pressure on yourself…but remember, it’s not to create a feeling of overwhelm. I don’t do overwhelm. The pressure needs to make you feel good, maybe pushes you a little out of your comfort zone, maybe it keeps you moving towards a goal, little by little, but the pressure shouldn’t be constant. It shouldn’t become a method of self-sabotage.

Good pressure, good motivators, keep you focused and growing; never stuck or frozen.

Slowly start to unload your “things” – recognize the thoughts and patterns behind your overwhelm. Remind yourself, “I don’t do overwhelm.” Now, begin releasing all that pressure you placed on yourself that was keeping you stuck and shift it into a new perspective. New energy.

And when you start to feel that sense of overwhelm happening, because it will, you will be tested and that’s how the universe works, ask yourself, “What do I feel coming and why? What can I change? How can I shift out of this quickly?”

And that’s the beauty of this work.
