  • Electro House BackSpin: 2007-2008 Volume 5

Electro House BackSpin: 2007-2008 Volume 5
    Mar 22 2025
This episode is a BackSpin installment focused on Electro House and big dance-club hits from 2007–2008, assembled as a snapshot of the era’s Dance Club Songs moment. Volume 5 gathers long-form club mixes and notable remixes—updated here to include P!nk’s U + Ur Hand (Bimbo Jones Explicit Mix)—to recreate the stretch-of-the-night energy that defined those years. Highlights include deep, disco-rooted turns like Fish Go Deep & Tracey K’s The Cure & The Cause in DJ Meme’s Philly Suite rework, alongside club mainstays from Eric Prydz, Freemasons feat. Katherine Ellis, Rihanna (Jody Den Broeder mixes), and late-decade pop remixes by StoneBridge and Kaskade. You’ll hear both euphoric anthems and soulful, extended grooves that DJs used to ride for minutes at a time. The notes also reflect on how mix lengths and remix culture shifted as streaming rose—why these 6–10 minute edits mattered on the floor and how modern streaming formats shortened the DJ’s toolkit. This volume aims to preserve the flow and integrity of those original club experiences while trimming a few sections for listening balance.
