An assassin's bullet knocks Csejthe out of his body and into the afterlife as he journeys through the realm of the truly dead before a final showdown with an evil spawned in Nazi Germany. An evil kept alive through genetic manipulation and nanotechnology and waiting only for Csejthe's blood to overcome the last hurdle to immortality!   

A year ago, Chris Csejthe (pronounced "Chay-tay") was completely human - then a blood transfusion from the Lord of the Undead changed everything. Now he is a hunted man, sought by human and vampire alike for the secrets he knows and the powers that his mutated blood may bestow. So far he's dodged undead assassins, werewolves, a 6,000-year-old Egyptian necromancer, and Vlad Dracula himself. But now he's really got problems.

Years back, a blood transfusion with a member of the undead left Christopher Csejthe a half-vampire. Then someone cut the gas line of his SUV and then ran over him with a semitruck while he tried to get a tow. But this is the third time Chris has died. It's old hat at this point for him. Now, awakened in a world he doesn't quite recognize, he'll have to use his wits to once again keep the supernatural world at bay. Interpol is interested in some of his associations with Vlad Drakul's grandson - better known as Dracula - and a trio of witches from Greek myth want him dead - for good.

The portents are lining up for the biggest supernatural showdown of all time and - as if the Big Easy didn't have enough problems with another hurricane on the way - New Orleans is due to be the epicenter. Or, more precisely, the storm is vectoring in on half-vampire (but fresh-blood-eschewing) Chris Csejthe and his ragtag coterie of outcast monsters.  

Christopher Csejthe doesn't believe in vampires. Not until he becomes one. He doesn't believe in witches or werewolves, either. Not until they make him an offer he can't refuse....
