As a child, I believed Christmas wishes were supposed to come true. As an adult, I realized making those wishes was pointless. As an original member of the Cerberus MC, I knew hard work and determination are what brought a good outcome, so I stopped making wishes. I didn't ask for Lucy or her son Harley, but when having them became a reality, I knew I needed to hold on tight. Her past makes her decisions for her, and letting them go will be the hardest thing I'll ever do.

Falling for a girl I just met was never in my plans. We had one night together, and most days I convince myself that she was an apparition - something I made up in my mind to get me through the hard days. Then I found her again. Only she wasn't happy and smiling, giving me a hard time like she did the day we met. She was broken...unseeing eyes no longer filled with life. She was gone because of another person's disregard for human life.

I was the golden child. The one all the Cerberus guys looked up to. I was on my way to becoming the next career Marine. But after my last deployment to Syria, being a Marine was no longer an option. Unfortunately, my not so honorable discharge from the Corps didn't get rid of the demons created while I was enlisted. Not even my childhood friend can save me. I'll destroy her just like I destroyed everything else I touched.

My first job with the Cerberus MC was to grab a girl from a seedy bar. Easy money, right? The moment I realized the blonde I was hunting wasn't around, I ended up captivated by a redhead dancing on the stage. With her striking features and sinful body, I knew she was trouble, but that didn't stop me from making her mine that night. When I learned that she was the job, everything became clouded.

One day she's standing on my porch, and the next she's being held a prisoner in my house. Retiring from the Marine Corps didn't mean I stopped serving the civilians of this great nation. Serving her would be my absolute pleasure. I know why I said yes when she asked for help. Her wild hair, long legs, and a mouth I'd love to teach a thousand lessons definitely weighed my decision in her favor. Now, preventing the war she started when she arrived, that's the easy part.

I've always been a connoisseur of the opposite sex. Tall, short, thin, thick and juicy, my tastes knew no limitations. That became abundantly clear the night my best friend took me in his mouth. Sure, there'd been close calls before, the slip of a hand or misplaced lips. With our propensity to share women, it was bound to happen. That fateful night, I was met with pure intention and an experience I never want to forget.

I'm no one's savior. I work with the Cerberus MC for the thrills, not for the glory. Saving people who've been trafficked is just a side benefit, coming in second to the adrenaline rush of eradicating some of the evil in the world. Mia Vazquez didn't seem to get the memo. When I pulled her out of Hell, she wouldn't let go. She literally wrapped her arms around my neck and refused to release me.

Who says you can't fall in love at seven years old? I know I did. The love I felt for my babysitter, Camryn Davison, at such a young age transformed over time. By the time I was a teen that love turned into fantasies I knew would never come true. By the time I saw her again at 21 I was determined to make those fantasies a reality. If only she'd see me as the man I am now and not the little boy she used to soothe when I had nightmares as a child. She's the only one that has an issue with our seven-year age difference.

Life can change in the blink of an eye. As a member of the Cerberus MC, an elite organization that specializes in the rescue and recovery of trafficked women, I've seen it happen more than once. I've witnessed how easily a family can be torn apart from a single bad choice. We've been too late before and have to live with the guilt of how a few hours would've changed everything.
