After too many close calls during his adventures in ancient England, Dave is happy to be safe back home in 1990s Pennsylvania. But that doesn’t mean he’s ready to leave Merlyn and his other friends behind forever. In fact, it would probably be best if he kept his family’s magic mirror close by at all times, just in case. Merlyn could need his help at any moment! Unfortunately, that moment comes when Dave least expects it, and his decision to keep the mirror on hand leads to dire consequences. This time, Dave isn’t the only one pulled through the mirror’s glossy surface.

Dave's life turned upside down the day his dad passed away. He's not sure how to move forward, until he inherits an antique hand mirror with a mysterious inscription. When the mirror begins to glow and a woman speaks to Dave through the glass, he finds himself transported to sixth-century England. Thrust into a world full of danger and dragons, Dave will need to rearrange everything he thought he knew about life in general, but more specifically, he'll have to admit he didn't know his dad as well as he thought he did.
