Alex Sheppard returns to the real world only to realize that it's game over for him. At the age of sixteen, he's destroyed the carefully laid plans of the most powerful people in the world, incurring their wrath. Now they're thirsting for his blood, and they know where to find him. The criminal Triad, the two-faced Cartel, the hypocritical preventers were child's play, nothing more. But he has to operate outside the law now his sworn enemies rule the planet.

After returning to Cali Bottom and the wider world of Disgardium, Alex realizes that the Demonic Games were a vacation compared to the problems he now faces. He has to help the beta players stuck in the Nether and decide what to do with his friends who "betrayed" him; identify a real traitor and prepare for the citizenship tests; and reach the Inferno to obtain Coals of Hellflame and destroy the Nucleus, whose legates, now free, have gained new powers thanks to the pantheon of dark gods who have joined the Destroying Plague.

Alex Sheppard flies to the Demonic Games, hoping that he and his friends Malik and Tissa can do the impossible and achieve victory. Almost 400 players are invited to the Games, the best of the best from all walks of Dis. Champions of the arena and the battlefields, gryphon races and pet battles; the very best craftspeople and grand masters of their professions.... All of them await the arrival of Scyth the Class-A Threat, who must now prove his worth without his divine abilities to help him.

The armies of the Commonwealth, the Empire, and the neutral factions, all the leading players and clans of the preventers, have been summoned under the banners of Nergal the Radiant to the sands of the deadly Lakharian Desert, to wage war against a most terrible enemy of all life itself - Scyth. Having emerged from the sandbox into the wide world of Disgardium, Scyth and his friends find themselves under the watchful eye of the preventers. The strongest clans in the world hunt not only Scyth, but also the already discovered "threat" Crag, a member of the Awoken clan. But this is just one of many problems; the Sleeping God has another impossible quest for them.

Scyth and the followers of the Sleeping Gods have lost the Holy War. The new gods, who call themselves the True Gods, celebrate, unaware that the Sleepers have one more temple left. But how long until they find out? After all, Scyth's enemy Mogwai, once the strongest player on the planet, knows about Kharinza. The Supreme Legate of the Destroying Plague thirsts for vengeance and is eager to regain his former positions, becoming stronger every day, while Scyth, deprived of his invulnerability, has lost his former advantages.

Zudem muss er ins Inferno gelangen, um die Kohlen des Höllenfeuers zu beschaffen und den Nukleus zu vernichten.

Alex Sheppard fliegt zu den Dämonischen Spielen, in der Hoffnung, dass er und seine Freunde Malik und Tissa das Unmögliche schaffen und siegen können. Fast 400 Spieler, die Besten der Besten aus ganz Disgardium, sind zu den Spielen eingeladen worden: Champions der Arena, der Battlefields, der Greifenrennen und der Tiergefährten-Kämpfe sowie die allerbesten Handwerker und Großmeister ihrer Berufe. Alle warten auf die Ankunft von Scyth, der Klasse-A-Gefahr, der nun beweisen muss, was er ohne seine göttlichen Fähigkeiten leisten kann.

Scyth und die Anhänger der Schlafenden Götter mussten sich im Krieg um Tiamats Tempel geschlagen geben.
