Following the murderous events of Serpent of Heaven, Lizbeth Rose is awaiting the arrival of her sister Felicia and her husband’s younger brother Eli in Texoma. Butcher then returns to London to view the body of his deceased father and Butcher's full back-story as a one-man reckoning is revealed.
