Jerome, George and Harris are three hypochondriacal friends who like to spend time comparing their illnesses, although none of them is ill. One day they decide to go on a vacation by sailing down the Thames river towards Oxford. The three friends prepare a long list of things they will need and even take the dog Montmorency with them. During the journey they visit many different places and fall into various and interesting situations.

A rollicking perpetual best seller in the best English humor tradition of P G Wodehouse and Monty Python. Three friends traveling by boat sculling and towing up the Oxford upriver and floating back with a dog carrying on, humor, follies, and insights in each chapter will having you laughing and awestruck by insights in the Oxford Cambridge tradition of old.

Here is one of the greatest English comic novels read by incontrovertible king of English comic audiobook readers, Martin Jarvis. Three men, worried about their health and in search of different experiences, set off 'up the river' in a boat. Jerome's delightful novel, dating from 1900, paints a vivid picture of innocent fun.

In Three Men in a Boat, Jerome K. Jerome delivers a charming and hilariously absurd account of a boating trip gone awry. When three friends—George, Harris, and the narrator—decide to take a relaxing journey down the River Thames, they set off with grand plans of leisure and adventure. What follows is a series of comically disastrous events that reveal just how little they know about boating, camping, or life in general. With plenty of misadventures, misunderstandings, and laugh-out-loud moments, the trio’s journey becomes a delightful satire on the absurdities of human nature.
