    CANDYcolored studio PODCAST EPISODE 255:

this week i had the pleasure of joining artist friends at the springville museum of art for their artist roundtable. this free event has been helping artists for several years and i'm so grateful. 6 topics 4 rotations, 25 minutes was not enough time to fully dive into all the website tips and suggestions that i would have liked, so carl and i have recorded a podcast episode to go deeper. there are two parts to this episode - make sure you also listen to the other part. special thanks to carl for being my partner in all things: life, business, creativity and love. he's the best. enjoy!!

scroll a little for the handout that we ran out of lol! print one for yourself and send one to a friend. and please pass this episode along to anyone you think would love some more ideas to add to their website!

2025 was another year for the books -- so much gratitude and also the realization that my metrics have changed. hear some confessions, new directions, when is it right to break the so-called rules and how to make more with our craft and business than we could ever imagine. Broken into topic categories of "family, art biz, friendship, truth and becoming" - i'll share all my thoughts on these and even spill some beans on my roundtable topics for the springville museum event for artists happening wednesday january 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 - this is a free event - just register on the springville website: smofa.org

  • solo show at park city fine art: "of petals, feathers & fields"
    Nov 5 2025

    CANDYcolored STUDIO PODCAST EPISODE 253:

i’m dedicating this episode to the collectors of my latest collection at park city fine art, colby and his awesome team at the gallery - just so grateful for this new partnership!! it’s going to be an awesome week! can’t wait to share this latest collection with you all this friday from 5 to 8 pm at 558 main street in park city!

17 piece - collection “of petals, feathers & fields”

there’s something magical about inviting the outside in; there’s a priceless goodness of nature flooding our places of rest, rejuvenation, work and play. scrupulously tended fields leading home, petals and feathers are carefully chosen on account of their symbolism to remind you of special moments with loved ones. let these shiny stained-glass-like oil paints invite reflection each day - to seek and find new purpose, deeper meaning, and clarity in the next cherished moment.

in this episode hear all about my training (god’s training), process, the music titles, stained-glass, curvy art shapes, frames, healing, giving my art business to god, new direction and partnership with park city fine art, latest landscapes and florals and what i hope you get out of these pieces. much love to all and see you this weekend!! i’ll be at the gallery thursday late afternoon till close (7), friday and saturday from 11 to 7, but go anytime and spend a little time with the awesome team. xo, katrina

  • investing in your art business with jessica libor of the creative heroine podcast
    Apr 23 2025

join jessica libor of the creative heroines podcast and myself as we talk about investing in your business. we discuss and share some wise investments you can make into your business as well as unregrettable investments we’ve personally made. when i began my art business, every bit of profit went right back into my business. there were grids to buy for art shows and fairs, paint to replenish and money to use to build and keep up a website. sometimes they were simple investments like books or medium sized investments like online courses. eventually, i could be more strategic as my income increased, i bought a nice camera, a car lol and now i’m building a studio in our front yard. there’s also the time and energy that you invest in your business and the priorities you keep. while jessica went to art school and i went to architecture school, we both agree that it’s important to follow your heart and find the path that’s best for you. even more important is to find gratitude within your unique path and to support other artists on their path. we all will have different goals and dreams for our art and it’s crucial to stay positive with other artists (and ourselves), to remember that there is room for all creatives and that the world needs your work and creativity.
