  • EP 278 Kelli & Anne spend 10 days apart & hear about each of their journeys
    Oct 23 2026
Join Anne & Kelli for their 278th episode of #ilovemywife podcast recorded from HOME!!! This is a very different kind of episode. Anne & Kelli spent 10 days apart, one at home with family and one traveling. In this episode, you will get each of their perspectives on what those looked and felt like. First, they begin with the few days before it all began. It started with an exciting announcement. Their son Parker got married to his longtime girlfriend Ajia Oct 4th in Saugarties, NY. It was a small gathering of close family and friends and it was a lovely evening. They also had a dinner at home with Blake, Teresa, grandbaby Anthony and Anne's Mom Sue to get some time together before Anne left on her big trip. She made sausage and peppers (one of her specialties) and they had a great night together. Kelli's 10 days: The next day Kelli drove Anne to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to board her ship and then headed home to prepare the house for the upcoming guests (Kelli's Mom Mellie, brother Charles and sister-in-law Kath). Then she got a full Grandma Day with Anthony! Anne's Mom Sue came over and their daughter Vivi to help out in the morning, and Mellie, Charles & Kath arrived in the afternoon. Anthony was so sweet taking a nap in our bed and later Teresa came over after school and picked him up. It was a great day. That night Kelli and her family went to a fabulous dinner at Hudson House in Nyack. The next exciting part of Kelli's 10 days was Anthony Christening. It was a beautiful day surrounded by family. Teresa's family is all so wonderful and it was so nice to all come together to celebrate Anthony. The only thing missing was Anne. The rest of their visit included brunch in Piermont, LSA football at home and ordering in and a game night with Rummikub and Slide. After Charles & Kath left, Kelli took both Moms to lunch and shopping for a new suitcase after her bag recently broke in Japan. Then she took her mom to dinner at Wasabi in Nyack and ran into Blake and Teresa taking Anthony to his very first Pumpkin Blaze, an annual tradition that Kelli and Anne always did with their kids. The next day, Kelli headed in for her neck back injection and it went very smoothly. Not sure of the full effects yet, but it is the next step in the process. The next day they had lunch in NYC with Vivi and then ordered in dinner and finished binging East of Eden on Netflix, that Kelli doesn't really recommend. The next day her Mom flew home and she changed over the apartment to get ready for Anne to come home. She then headed to LGA the next day to pick her up! Anne's 10 days: Before leaving, Anne woke up with a scratchy throat. She was afraid that she was catching Kelli's bad bronchitis that she had avoided all those weeks before and now she was heading off to sing on a cruise for 10 days! She also found out that she would be performing on Night 1 of the cruise so she needed to bring all of her bags on board immediately. Kelli drove her to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, which neither of them had been to before. She actually had 3 bags and a backpack so getting everything through the terminal and security was a challenge. Anne also found out that the entire orchestra was boarding the same day she was so that would be a first for sure! She boarded, met with the Cruise Director, Stage Manager and Musical Director and all went really well. She eventually got into her room, unpacked and got ready for rehearsal. Tech was at 6pm and everyone was so talented and professional. The show was at 9:15pm and the audience loved it. Night 1 can be a challenge but it was a success. The next morning Anne woke up with a terrible cough. She decided to stay in, order room service start medication and rest. Later that night she went to see the Production Show and then ordered room service pizza and played solitaire. The next 2 days were in Saint John, Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick and Anne walked to a drugstore to buy more medication because her cough was just getting worse. She also had another show coming up so it was imperative that she get better as soon as possible. She grabbed lunch in port and then went back and crashed. The next day she ventured out for fish & chips and a little walk for some fresh air. She also talked about the refillable water stations on board and how invaluable those were to her and her hydration. She also laughed because her ship keycard had the word MINOR written on it and every waiter and bartender asked her about it! Next, she had lunch in Halifax and The Bicycle Thief and watched the Packers beat the Bears! That night she got a room service burger and finally binged The Hunting Wives season 1 on Netflix. The next day the port was cancelled for winds and there was an impromptu sea day. It also happened to be her second show day. The good news is that by showtime everyone was so ready for some entertainment. And although she had been sick all week, Anne played a packed house and got a standing ovation and had to come...

  • EP 277 Kelli & Anne go to Japan and fill you in on all the amazing experiences
    Oct 9 2026
Join Anne & Kelli for their 277th episode of #ilovemywife podcast recorded from HOME!!! They start the show by wishing their good friend Greg Kiep a very happy birthday! Then they begin their journey to Japan that started with spending a few days in LA at The Edition Hotel that included a rooftop pool day, dinner with friends, brunch at Chateau Marmont (where they were told no photographs) and dinner at Ayara Thai where they reconnected with Chef Vonda. Next, they headed to the Delta One Lounge at LAX where they enjoyed a lovely breakfast and Kelli relaxed in the crazy massage chairs. They also put best sleep schedule to avoid jetleg into Chat GBT and stuck to it on the 12 hour flight to Tokyo. When they landed, immigration was super easy because they had registered on Visit Japan and got a QR code to scan through very quickly. Anne also ordered a wifi hotspot from Japan Wireless that they picked up at the airport. It only cost $120 for the entire trip and they never had to turn on their cellular the entire time. After checking into the hotel, Anne fell asleep and Kelli grabbed a quick dinner. The next day they took a city tour with several other guests that were traveling with them and they were so surprised how large, clean and organized Tokyo is. There are no trash cans because everyone manages their own trash. That night they had a fun dinner with friends. The next day was an epic day of Tokyo shopping. Anne had done lots of TikTok research about things to buy in Japan so they started the day in Ginza neighborhood to hit the Onitsuka Tiger store. These are very popular sneakers in Japan. Next, they hit Ginza Natsuno for custom made chopsticks. Then off to Don Quijote for skincare and makeup. They also did lots of Toyko exclusive clothing shopping at Puma, Lacoste and GU/Uniglo. Then they headed to Foula Massage Tokyo for a fabulous 90 min couples massage. During their time in Tokyo they also hit up 7-11 which is a major thing in Japan. You have to try the egg salad sandwiches and the sushi triangles! The next day they boarded the Azamara Pursuit, where Anne was the headline entertainer and Kelli and her company KelliGregg Travel were hosting a group of 70 on board. They found out that because a typhoon was approaching that they would be staying docked in Tokyo for 2 more days instead of sailing to the north of Japan. Anne had her first show on night 2 and it was a big success, however one couple slept through the entire show right in the front row! When the Cruise Director eventually woke them up after the show, they asked when does she start? Haha! The days were filled with interesting ports like Akita and Sakiminato (all you can eat red crab in 60 min that you have to hear to believe) and the nights were filled with LGBT mixers, Alexa in the piano bar lounge, other entertainers like Piano Manny, the onboard ship shows, the Cruise Director Darren and the Asst Cruise Director Gary. They also went to Busan, South Korea for a day where they spent the day at a Korean Day Spa called Spa Land. It was quite an experience that you also have to hear about to believe. They spent a day in Hiroshima on a private Viator tour. They saw the Peace Memorial and the Museum and it was all very heavy. They headed to a local place for Okonomiyaki pancakes and had the best time with the very interactive staff. They took the ferry to Miyjima to see the floating shrine at low tide and it was so beautiful. They next day they were in Kochi and went to Kochi Castle. To get to the top you have to walk up 160 wet stone steps (because it was always raining btw). They also took a local dance class called Yosaikoi that involved red robes and clappers called Naruko. It was so much fun! Their favorite day was in Kobe. They took the bullet train to Kyoto for the day and a private tour for 11 people. The bullet train goes somewhere around 160 mph and it doesn't even feel like you are movning! They visited Fushimi Inari Shrine (with 10,000 red tori gates), Kiyomizu Temple that literally hangs off a cliff, Gion (the Geisha District) and Nishiki Market, that is filled with incredible seafood and so much cool shopping. They also met some friends that happened to be in Kyoto at the same time for a quick sake and then headed back on the bullet train to Kobe. Then they headed to dinner at Mouriya Honten, an authentic Kobe beef restaurant. They sat at a counter (think teppanyaki style) to watch the master chefs at work. They got the filet and vegetables. It was the most unbelievable meal of their lives. The beef melts in your mouth and it is 1/3 of the price you would pay in the US. It was completely worth the experience. Anne had her second show and got a standing ovation! The next day was the last big stop and Anne decided to take a day off and stayed onboard. Kelli went to a tea farm and learned how to manufacture green tea. They went to view Mt Fuji but the cloud cover prevented them from seeing it unfortunately. The last stop was back ...

  • EP 276 Kelli & Anne talk US Open, their grandchild & sailing on Regent Seven Seas
    Sep 11 2026

Join Anne & Kelli for their 276th episode of #ilovemywife podcast recorded from HOME!!! They start the show by talking about recording early because they are heading to LA and then Japan for 3 weeks! They also honor that the episode comes out on the 25th anniversary of Sept 11th. As New Yorkers, they both discuss what it was like to live in the city during 9/11 and how they still feel the pain of it all 25 years later. They also honor all of those lost that day and all the first responders that died in previous years from their exposure at the site.

Next, they get into some time they had last week at home starting with the first time they got to keep their grandson Anthony on their own! Blake & Teresa had a little date night in Nyack and they loved having him! From watching cars go by on their balcony to singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider, it was a lovely few hours! They also went to fan week at The US Open and absolutely loved it. Get all the insider info about how to see your favorite tennis stars without paying big ticket prices just by getting the free fan pass. They watched Ben Shelton, Coco Gauff and so many more just by walking from venue to venue. They had the famous Honeydeuce cocktail, ate the incredible chicken nuggets from Coqodoq and drank wine at the Clos du Bois terrace. Overall, it was a perfect and affordable day!

Next, they headed out on a Regent Seven Seas cruise on The Splendor that Anne was performing on. They first flew to Saint John, Newfoundland Canada with a 3am wakeup and at 4:30am pickup! They did a quick overnight in Saint John at The Comfort Inn Plus and had a flaming sushi dinner next door at The Rock Restaurant. The next day they headed to the ship and met another fellow entertainer, Mairead Nesbitt, a celtic violinist. Hear the funny story about Kelli's confusion about what she actually did on board. They talk about how lovely the ship is and how beautiful all the suites are. Anne was so surprised to find out that an old friend of hers from Nashville in 1995, Shawn Carter, was working on board as a Cruise Consultant. It made for such a fun reunion and a lot of laughs. The rest of the cruise involved 2 shows for Anne, Anne stretching her comfort zone with some challenges while on board, lots of fun stops in Canada & the northeast with delicious seafood and fun drinks, meeting new guests & getting time with new and old friends.

Finally, they answer some listener questions from Adam on Instagram and do their regular segment Neat or On the Rocks. They also remind listeners that they will be taking the rest of Sept off from the podcast while they head to Japan. Make sure to check their social media for updates along the way! The next episode will air Oct 9th and will be FULL of Japan details!
