I have been struggling a bit recently to adjust. I apologize if it reflects in my work. I do all of this on my own and it can be difficult sometimes. Thank you for baring with me though. This is part 2 to a previous episode with Jat (Episode 52). We finished our conversation talking about a mutual friend of ours who also struggled to adjust, but he lost everything to a gambling addiction last year and has been homeless ever since.

I had needed some time off. Sometimes this gets to be too much. This is an old visit I had with my friend Aaron. We're both the same age, but he has been in prison since he was 15 years old.

Matt Garcia (Instagram: mattraw_1980 has been in prison for nearly 30 years. 2 weeks after Matt turned 18 he was charged with 2nd degree murder after someone else killed another person unknow to Matt. He was given Life with NO chance at parole. Death By Incarceration, it's called in Pennsylvania. March 26, however, the Pa. Supreme court issued a ruling in the Derek Lee case that states it is unconstitutional to give a person Life in prison with no second chance when they didn't harm anyone themselves. There are approximately 1050 men, woman and children serving this Life without parole for 2nd degree murder who may now be coming home. This is a phone call from Matt to me after he learned the news.

I met Pat in prison, during COVID 19. We had to live in a little prison cell for 23 hours a day for years. We became friends. I was there the day he learned that his father had passe away and when his daughter, also, passed away. I wrote and made a song and music video with the assistance of ai for Pat, (ai did most of the work) and this is the first time he is seeing it, and I used A.I. to create a clip where he and his daughter come out of their picture and hug.

James Green has been in prison for nearly four (4) decades and someone one recently told him that he may have a child. For a man like James, that is devestating news, and then to live life knowing that you may never find the truth, that's crushing. I'd like to help him find out, if anyone has an idea? Also, I found a video of the inside of the newly abandoned SCI Graterford prison, and James and I watch a few minuets. I don't know about him, but I couldn't sleep that night.

In this eppisode, Bashir and I reconnect and talk about where life has taken us since we were cellies in prison at SCI Houtzdale in Pennsylvania. One of us is learning to adjust to life after 12 years in prison, which the other had already recently done, but fell short of making it. He is now making pivotal decisions that he didn't make the last time he was in prison. This time, he may just have it. Bashir also tell for the first time that he had met a girl durring his time in society.

Tysheem Crocker has 28 years in and He has claimed and faught for his innocence since the beginning. He has done more with his time in prison than many out in society. He has published books, and is now hosting his own podcast. I join him as a guest on his podcast that he hosts from inside prison.
