  • Your Therapist Needs Therapy 172 - Dan McClellan & The Complicity of "Good" Christians
    Oct 28 2026

This week Jeremy looks at the useful and disappointing case study of Dan McClellan’s defense of tithing. We look at how smart people can still fall into cognitive biases, how appeals to emotion are successful PR, and how the deconstruction space allows for too much hierarchy still. Jeremy talks about the difference between deconstruction and decolonization, and highlights the importance of looking at power dynamics in cultural critique.

  • Your Therapist Needs Therapy 171 - The Manosphere Learned This From The Church
    Oct 21 2026

Jeremy is back at it this week tackling the worst part of the internet, the manosphere! After calling out misogyny last week I got all sorts of trolls defending dudes, so this week I’m helping the bros see the parallels between high control religion and high follower count influencers. We’re looking at how these grifts operate in selling a product that keeps you broken, so you always come back as a repeat customer. Modern indulgences are just creatine supplements.

  • Your Therapist Needs Therapy 170 - Not Another Misogyny Episode
    Oct 14 2026

It's not another misogyny episode, except that somehow, it is. Jeremy is looking at the connection from Shane Gillis’ SNL monologue manufacturing consent for the culture wars to how that normalizes an entire culture of sexual violence, political spectacle, and abject cruelty. We're also taking a critical look at how misogyny gets packaged as entertainment and reinforced by the institutions around us. We also talk accountability, because recognizing the problem isn't enough. The real question becomes what we're willing to risk when challenging the people and cultures that reward misogyny.
