A proposito di questo titolo

Write, Read, Question is a weekly look at fiction writing advice, techniques, and practice through the lens of an aspiring author. We'll tackle everything from the basics of plot, character, and dialogue to the esoteric of voice, style, and showing. Whether you have never written a draft, have tons of WIPs, or want to evaluate your current novel, I'll have advice for anyone. As a bonus, we'll look at this advice in practical applications, as I write a novel from start to finish, and dig up an old project I wrote when I was a teenager to laugh at. Come along with me to talk, learn, and write.WRQuest

Write, Read, Question was a weekly podcast where I put to the test writing advice, tips, and techniques while writing my own novel. Unfortunately, what I put into this pod is draining me of time and energy that I need elsewhere, so welcome to an Infinite Hiatus, and super sorry if this is your first listen.

  • EP 7 - POV: You Enjoy This Episode (I Didn't)
    Feb 17 2025

Write, Read, Question is a weekly podcast where I put to the test writing advice, tips, and techniques while writing my own novel.

In this late, sleepy episode, we talk about the different types of Literary Point of View (POV), including the choices between First person or Third Person, Limited or Omniscient, Singular or Multiple, and Past or Present. We also go over how each of these choices can affect your other choices and narration, as well as some examples of classic and modern novels for further reading.

Now it's time for me to go play Avowed.

  • EP 6 - What's Your Beef? (All About Conflict)
    Feb 10 2025

Write, Read, Question is a weekly podcast where I put to the test writing advice, tips, and techniques while writing my own novel.

In this week's episode, we talk about the seven different types of literary conflict (Man, Self, Society, Nature, Supernatural, Fate, and Technology), what they are, how they show up in stories, how I'm planning on using them in my story, and why conflict as a concept is one of the best ways to make your story engaging.
