Actor and singer Morgan James and teacher and writer Rhianydd Biebrach have been friends since nursery school in the Welsh Valleys. Fashions and hairstyles may have changed (or disappeared!) through the years, and life has taken them in different directions, but their friendship has stood the test of time.

Now, in their middle-aged prime, they are getting together once again to ponder some of life’s great questions and share some of their wit and hard-won wisdom - whether it’s wanted or not.

Taking a different theme every week, Morgan and Rhianydd bring their unique perspectives, often with a Welsh slant, to whatever’s been on their minds:

‘What makes you happy?’

‘Is it ok to tell lies?’

‘Would you do that at home?!’

So, if you often find yourself wondering the same thing, join Morgan and Rhianydd in asking that ubiquitous Welsh question, ‘Whose Coat Is That Jacket?’!

Cwtch up and tune in.

  • The Books That Made Me
    Oct 25 2026

Ah, you remember it so well - the first time you read the book that had that profound impact on you.

It broadened your horizons; it taught you something fundamental; it fired your imagination!

In short, it contributed to the person you are today.

At least that’s how Morgan felt when he first opened the thick cardboard pages of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Who knew that it was possible to eat that much?

Yes, this week we’re tackling the topic of books! How intellectual are we, then?

Whether you’re into Dan Brown or Dostoevsky, Mills & Boon or Hilary Mantel, or whether the last thing you read was the 1978 Ford Cortina owner’s manual, this episode will strike a chord for all those with a love of the written word.

And where would we be without our absolutely stonking Wenglish Word of the Week and our cultural moments?

So put down the kindle, give your eyes a rest and get a treat for your ears with Morgan and Rhianydd.

  • What one thing would you bring back from the past?
    Oct 4 2026

    So the question is:

    Spangles?

    Permed hair?

    Dynasty?

    Hanging?

If you could bring back one thing from the past, what would it be?

It’s a tough one isn’t it? Wouldn’t our lives be so much richer if we could just revive that one thing that we miss so much (Morgan’s hair, Rhianydd’s pelvic floor), or are some things best left in the dustbin of history (line dancing, happy-slapping)?

And fear not, we’re definitely saving one thing from the scrap-heap and that’s the olden-but-golden Wenglish Word of the Week, with a chaser of our cultural moments.

So get off your spacehoppers, finish up your babycham and cwtch up with Rhianydd and Morgan for this week’s WCITJ.

  • Advice to 18-year-old me
    Sep 10 2026

    Hello, we’re back.

We’ve had a bit of an unexpected hiatus and unfortunately we’re starting back on a very sad note, of which more in the episode.

But we’re raring to go and hoping you’re with us again on our WCITJ journey.

We find ourselves in a reflective mood this week, and it’s that time of year where the young and beautiful of this world are setting off on the next chapter - uni, college, work (well not the latter obviously as there don’t seem to be any jobs around at the moment - thanks tech bros!). So we’re looking back on our hopeful and hormone-addled 18-year-old selves and giving the kind of sound advice that we wish we’d had at the time. Not that we’d have listened.

As well as these golden nuggets there’s the return of Wenglish Word of the Week and of course our cultural moments.

So it’s onwards and upwards (or downwards if you’re an archaeologist, or sideways if you’re a crab). Come and have a little cwtch with Morgan and Rhianydd. You know it makes sense.
