[THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

    WELCOME BACK!
Johnny's been gone for about two weeks and the gang is on EDGE! It doesn't help matters that sleazy record company promo man Murray Gressler is sniffing around. Murray will do just about anything to get his records played. Andy should have known better than to hire the deejay Murray recommended, but he needed to get the time slot filled! Doug Winner, the new morning man, turns out to be a smiling but shifty jerk who's willing to throw Johnny under the bus to protect his precious Coke supply (and we don't mean the cola kind). The WKRP-Cast is nothing but "Miami Vice" and Odor Eaters this week! It'll make more sense when you push "play" and join us!!

    WATCH ALONG DETAILS...
[Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! We highly recommend the 'Shout Factory' boxed DVD set of the entire WKRP series. For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog" episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. The Shout Factory complete series box has a release date of 2014. All individual seasons of Shout Factory disks were released in 2015.

Hey Fellow Babies!! We talked to Gary Sandy. Don't miss our exclusive interview with Andy Travis now available from the WKRP-Cast. Wherever you get your podcasts.

THE WKRP-CAST IS IN RE-RUNS!! If you are new to the WKRP-Cast, welcome and thanks for listening. You might be thinking, "hey, aren't they missing some shows?" It does look that way but rest assured, there is a WKRP-Cast episode for EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of WKRP.Some episodes may currently be unpublished because we are in re-runs. [THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

    WELCOME BACK!
Something strange is happening around the ol' KRP Ranch. It's 14 degrees but Johnny is playing Beach Boys like it's the Fourth of July! (at least, it's some bargain basement semblance of Beach Boys on the ol' Shout! Factory disks). We discover the good Doctor has been called to practice back in L.A. The competitor to the station that fired him over the whole "Booger" thing has come calling with a GREAT offer! Will Johnny head for huge bucks, sunny skies and sweet revenge? Can the gang keep Johnny in Cincinnati?? It's a plot laced with high stakes, deceit and Jennifer's...um...charms! It's a story so big it might not get told in one WEEK!! Knock back another strong one with Art and pull up a chair. We've got some war stories to tell and they aren't going to get told with you sitting at home! Button up your brains and haul out your tux, fellow babies! The WKRP-Cast is headed to "The Cricket" and we've got reservations! Push "play" to join us!!

    WELCOME BACK!
Take cover!! It's the attack of the Godless Tornadoes! Hey, fellow babies...Allen and Donna Stare here! On this episode of the "WKRP-Cast" bells will be ringing...on Les' teletype machine! A pack of killer tornadoes has descended on the Ohio Valley. Fearless Newsman Les Nessman is on it...or, at least he would be if he weren't stuck in an elevator. Oh, yeah...his teletype machine is also unplugged. It's a long story that gets really weird when the Japanese businessmen show up (they're our allies now, you know). Board up the windows and batten down the hatches, there's terror on the 14th floor!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies and get to low ground. It ain't over 'til the National Anthem gets played!! Hit 'play' fellow babies and follow the yellow brick road...

    Jan 2 2026
[THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

    WELCOME BACK!
Hang on, fellow babies, we're SUPERSIZED!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! On this episode of the "WKRP-Cast", we tackle one of life's greatest mysteries: are there actually two endings to this episode? And, if there are, WHY??? Johnny blew it when he missed the decimal point on Andy's contest memo. The "big prize" was fifty bucks. Johnny read it as FIVE THOUSAND!! No sweat, we'll just make the contest impossible to win! KRP listeners are obviously musical savants. EVERYBODY is figuring out the impossible puzzle. When it comes time to award the cash, will Johnny Save the Day? Or, will Johnny Have to Pay? He actually winds up doing BOTH!! This is the weirdest, wildest, strangest little detour you'll take in WKRP-land, which is why we invited a very special detour guide: episode writer CASEY PIOTROWSKI joins us with comments and insight!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies and strap in. The Bozo-puter might overheat before we're done with this one. You ARE seeing double!! Hit 'play' to find out why!!

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! It's time for another episode of the "WKRP-Cast"...and somebody went to see Mr. Macho! A lot is happening at the Mighty KRP, and the laughs are BACK, fellow babies!! Les has won the Coveted Silver Sow (we don't think "Coveted" is actually in the title...but the way he says it, it is!!). Herb decides to help his little buddy get a date. He doesn't know he's about to set off a chain of events that will end with wigs, memos, gold lame, and a quiet cup of cocoa with a beautiful woman. How could they fit it all in 25 minutes?? We sure couldn't!! (sorry if we got a little long...but there was so much STUFF!!) The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies...if you can find them under all of that HAIR!! Time to spritz on another blast of "Brut" Cologne and hit 'play'!!

[THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

    WELCOME BACK!
Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! It's time for another episode of the "WKRP-Cast"...and we've been retooled! Well, we haven't, but the SHOW is supposed to have undergone a major overhaul. Did it? Not so much, thanks to the curmudgeonly behavior of our hero, Mr. Hugh Wilson. This is, oddly for first season, a clip show...with about 14 minutes of new stuff, PLUS an all new "Mama Carlson." We get into what it was like to watch TV back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, the mystery of the cold open, the insanity of network suits and the return of one of the funniest shows on TV...now comfortably seated right behind mega-hit "M*A*S*H"!! What could go wrong...right?? Well, it IS WKRP. Don't count on anything good to last for too long. The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, Mama's here and she doesn't look happy. Is your resume up-to-date? Time to hit 'play' and hope she's in a good mood !!

YOU KNOW YOU MAKE US WANNA...
No shouts in the show, but we did want to take a minute to say a BIG 'Thank You' to Michael Hernandez, the Accountant of Rock. Mike is doing some amazing forensic research regarding the scheduling of WKRP throughout its original run on network. He is doing the digital equivalent of haunting newspaper graveyards and dusty stacks in library attics. His research is yielding some fascinating stuff and we are so glad he is willing to share the highlights with us. We hope to be hitting Mike up in the future regarding show ratings and scheduling. It's all part of what made and influenced the creation of WKRP so we love getting into it!

    WELCOME BACK!
Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! It's time for another episode of the "WKRP-Cast"...and...well. Okay, so this is bad. Really bad. If you don't know this episode, consider yourself lucky. If you DO know this episode, please keep reading. We know superfans who will NOT watch this one...but we're giving it a shot! After last week's AMAZING "Turkeys Away" episode, the fine folks at MTM...or CBS...or somebody said this should be the follow-up to one of the greatest half hours in television. This is very bad all on its own...but when you put it up against "Turkeys" it becomes monumentally bad in comparison. If you should happen to like this episode, we hope you have a sense of humor. If you REALLY like this episode...you'd probably better not listen. The other 99.897% of you are going to have a blast. Things get comedically bloody...claws come out...hair color is questioned...you'll have fun in spite of the horrific episode, we promise!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, this one is about as bad as it can possibly get. Hold your nose and hit 'play' !!

[No shout-outs this time. We didn't think it would be fair to associate anyone's name with this episode...just to be safe. Shouts next time! Send stuff!]

[THIS IS A RE-RUN OF A PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PODCAST. ENJOY THIS ENCORE PRESENTATION!!]

Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." Bailey is stepping up to the plate as a producer. Her idea, "Cincinnati Beat" is tapped by Andy to be the next big Public Service program on WKRP. The only problem...a show like this requires guests, and good ones. Cue the nutballs! Cincinnati's leading eccentrics have gathered in the WKRP lobby! Bailey's call for participants nets some of the most deliciously deraigned attendees imaginable. Mrs. Woodruff's Hatchback Supreme has done some interstellar commuting, Mr. Eisenhower is about to run you down and Dr. Monroe has a cure for us all!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air! Grab your brains, fellow babies, this is just what the Dr. ordered!!
