In this very first episode of my Istighfar series, I open up about how my journey with seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) truly began—and how something so simple ended up changing my life in ways I never expected.

It all started with my brother Muhsin and his wife, who posted a friendly competition between themselves to see who could do the most Istighfar. Watching them inspired something in me. On a whim, I decided to join in… and from that moment, the rest has truly been history.

This year, I set some personal goals for Ramadan, and Alhamdulillah, I achieved them. I felt a deeper connection to my faith and a renewed sense of purpose. Supporting Muslim businesses and brands, from halal eateries to henna artists and much more, has been a major focus. It’s vital that we uplift our community.

However, right after Eid, we faced a horrible event that reminded us of the importance of staying vigilant. Now that Shaitan is free, we must remain steadfast and keep our guard up.
