A Fond TTFN from Trek in the Valley
    Sep 6 2026

As you may have noticed, there wasn't a new episode of the podcast last week and there isn't this week either. Al has officially, and on good terms, left the show because he has other positive stuff to focus on! I, Adam, the other A name on the pod, am taking this as a sign to work on other projects...such as my podcast Movies Over My Hammy where we cover movies and their food tie-in menu items.

Stay subscribed to this feed because if and when I bring Trek in the Valley back, I want ya'll to be the first folks to know.

Huge thanks to Al for four years of fun podcasting. Be sure to follow him so you know whenever he drops music or whatever else he gets up to.

    "It's a dry well. It's worthless."

Woooah, folks! Here we have a classic diplomacy episode of TNG with "The Price." Picard finds himself hosting negotiations between a planet who found a stable worm hole, and the grimy space capitalists that want to buy access to it - plus the Federation. Also, Lloyd Braun from Seinfeld uses his secret Betazoid powers to control the negotiations and possibly...Troi's heart? Includes some absolutely disgusting massage stuff. Adam and Al get into it on this week's Trek in the Valley!

    "Brinksmanship is a dangerous game."

Romulans, man! Can't trust them to help you until you can, but then more Romulans show up that you don't have a connection with and things get weird. I think that's what this episode was about. Geordi met a Romulan in a lightening cave and there was a Neutral Zone standoff between Picard and a Romulan captain. The fate of the cease fire was in jeopardy, I tell you! Anyway, we have a great time talking about it. Check it out. If you dare! It actually isn'y foreboding like that.

    "I was never a boy."

Trek in the Vallites! We've got a Geordi coming in hot. In Star Trek: The Next Generation, S3 EP6, "Booby Trap" at first it seems like maybe Geordi is an incel, but it turns out he just can't relax around a lady unless she is the holographic personification of an engineer that is helping him solve a problem before everyone on the ship dies of radiation poisoning. Also, Worf has a couple good lines. We talk about it all and also more!

    S3 EP 5: "The Bonding"
    Aug 2 2026

"I've always believed that having children on a starship is a very questionable policy. Serving on a starship means accepting certain risks, certain dangers. Did Jeremy Aster make that choice?"

This week Adam and Al dig into an emotional and philosophical episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, with S3 EP 4, "The Bonding." In this episode, pretty much every single person feels responsible for some kind of death in some way. The various members of the crew navigate these feelings while dealing with a sort of powerful alien presence that, you guessed it, feels responsible for some sort of death. All that, plus Al having a successful what does Al remember, and some insightful recommendations, on episode #174 of Trek in the Valley.

Trek in the Vallites! We have a hot one coming on down out of the 'ol podcast tube. This episode is full of great guest stars and folks absolutely dropping hot craps on the Prime Directive. As always, Adam and Al dig into it with grace and aplomb.

"No, no, no, no, no. You don't understand the scope of my crime. I didn't kill just one Husnock, or a hundred, or a thousand….I killed them all. All Husnock… everywhere."

Woof. Kind of an intense episode this week, Trek in the Vallites. We're covering S2 Episode 3 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, "The Survivors"! Picard and the gang run into the two surviving colonists of a massacre. However, and you are not going to even begin to start to even try to believe this, things are not as they seem! Good ep of both the podcast and Star Trek. Get on it.

  • S3 EP 2: "The Ensigns of Command"

S3 EP 2: "The Ensigns of Command"
    Jul 12 2026

    "Excessive honesty can be disastrous."

Trek in the Vallites unite for we have a ripper of a Data episode. Picard suggests Data could be a little less honest at times to hide his weaknesses as an android pursuing command. Data uses that idea to mixed results while trying to convince some idiot settlers on some planet to not let the owners of the planet show up and vaporize them. Data and Picard are both on their various ticking clocks and we get into it! The alien race of the week is quite rad.
