Tim Conway Jr. brings his signature humor to breaking news, Los Angeles current events, Orange County stories, Riverside County headlines, the Inland Empire, live police chases, freeway traffic, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, the big sports stories of the day, politics, gambling, and everything happening across Southern California. With his finger on the pulse of what’s happening in SoCal and beyond, Conway delivers funny, fast-moving talk radio every weeknight on KFI AM 640.

Heard by listeners across the country and around the world on the iHeartRadio App, Conway’s humor, storytelling, and take on the current news of the day connect with audiences far beyond Southern California. His perspective is local, but his comedy, curiosity, and down-to-earth view of life translate across cultures, communities, and languages.

Tim Conway Jr. was born and raised in Los Angeles and is the son of iconic comedy legend Tim Conway of The Carol Burnett Show. He spent his childhood around Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, and Del Mar Racetracks with his father, four younger brothers, and older sister — experiences that helped shape his humor, storytelling, and down-to-earth perspective on life.

During his early career, Conway produced his own internet radio show and, thanks to its popularity, was offered the opportunity to host a talk show on 97.1 KLSX-FM. Over twelve successful years, his show became famous across Southern California for entertaining topics, live police chases, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, sports, and current events with a twist of humor. In 2009, when KLSX switched to an all-music format, Conway joined KFI AM 640, continuing to bring listeners his unique comedic perspective on breaking news, politics, gambling, history, sports, entertainment, and life in SoCal.

Throughout his career, Conway has been featured on Fox 11, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and has received numerous industry honors including a Golden Mic Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Marconi Award nomination for Personality of the Year. When he’s not entertaining listeners, Conway enjoys spending time with his family, supporting local charities, and hanging out at the racetracks.

  • Can a Pool Pump Save Your Home From Wildfire?
    Oct 23 2026

Hour 1 (10.22) A fire official told Mark McNabb he might have died if he’d stayed to fight the Norte Fire with his new pool pump. He and his wife had 20 minutes to grab what mattered and go.

6:05 Two men and a woman were pulled from the rain-swollen Pacoima Wash in North Hills Thursday morning as one of the season’s first big storms-soaked Southern California. LAFD crews used a helicopter hoist and a ladder truck to reach them.

6:20 How do you keep going when life gets hard? Susan Fries of Ecola Termite & Pest Control shares the mindset that gets her through. Plus: When did your kid get their first phone?

6:35 The Norte Fire tore through San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano last Friday. Mark McNabb had just remodeled, adding a fire-resistant roof and a pool pump to fight flames. OCFA’s Steve Concialdi told him that staying with that pump may have cost him his life.

6:50 Losing a home to a fire, flood or tornado turns every day into a struggle. McNabb, owner of Surf City Printing, talks about getting back on your feet after disaster.

  • First Fire, Now Winds Snapped San Clemente Palms
    Oct 23 2026

Hour 2 (10.22) Winds likely topping 58 mph snapped palm trees in San Clemente just days after the Norte Fire, and a “gustnado” spun up in Victorville. Plus: Ralphs’ parent company Kroger is cutting 3,000 jobs.

7:05 First the Norte Fire, now this. A violent storm cell tore through San Clemente, snapping a palm and uprooting trees near the municipal golf course. The National Weather Service says it wasn’t a tornado but straight-line winds, likely over 58 mph. After the heat we just went through, we needed the rain.

7:20 Rapper Foenem’s viral Brewer's anthem became the soundtrack of Milwaukee’s NLCS sweep of the Dodgers. How does it stack up against L.A.’s own theme songs?

7:35 Kroger, which owns Ralphs and Food 4 Less, plans to cut about 3,000 corporate jobs over three years as new CEO Greg Foran expands its use of AI. Plus: the latest on a deadly police investigation in Arcadia and Pasadena.

7:50 A “gustnado” spun up near Highway 395 in Victorville as the storm moved through the High Desert. It’s a short-lived whirl kicked up along a thunderstorm’s gust front, not a true tornado.

  • Airbnb Checkout Rules: No More Dishes
    Oct 23 2026

Hour 3 (10.22) Starting Nov. 20, Airbnb hosts can’t make you wash dishes, strip beds or take out the trash. Plus: who gets up to $200 from Amazon, and a woman who cried for three hours over a seat swap.

8:05 Carnival is moving its drink and Wi-Fi packages to dynamic pricing on Dec. 1, with prices that shift by cruise length, itinerary and season. Is that a better deal for cruisers, or just a bigger bill in peak season?

8:20 JetBlue’s first kid-free flight is an adults-only charter out of JFK, sold only as part of a Virgin Voyages cruise package. Plus: a lawnmower theft in Santa Monica, and Mark McNabb on losing his home in the Norte Fire.

8:35 For bookings made on or after Nov. 20, Airbnb hosts can’t require guests to do dishes, strip beds, run laundry or take out the trash, even when you’re paying a hefty cleaning fee. Prime members who signed up between 2019 and 2025 could automatically get up to $200 from Amazon’s $2.5 billion FTC settlement. And Anthropic’s draft IPO filing shows an $80.7 billion first-half loss, mostly on paper. Would you buy stock in a company that’s losing money?

8:50 Travel blogger Tomiko Harvey refused to trade her aisle seat for a middle seat on a 10-hour flight so a woman could sit next to her husband. She says the woman cried for three hours. Would you swap? Dolly Parton celebration from across the entertainment industry on CMA.
